Leafpool sat at the opening of her den, watching as Bramblestar gave a speech. She sighed as she remembered her fathers tragic death and tears began to form in her eyes. She shook them away once Jayfeather sat beside his mother. Leafpool shot him a smile but the silver tabby ignored her and continued to look up. "Hawk!" Sandstorm yowls as she runs into the camp. Leafpool's eyes widen as she saw a hawk and Jayfeather pricked his ears, running back into the den he got Alderpaw and any wounded clanmates and gathered them up in the back of the medicine cat den.
"Get the kits to saftey!" Blossomfall hissed as she and squirrelflight gathered some of the strongest apprentices to fight. Leafpool was helping the queens gather the kits into the nursery when the hawk attacked her, sashing her flank. She hissed in pain, stumbling to the ground. "Leafpool!" the kits gasped as their mother gasped in horror along with them but then quickly nudging them into the nursery.. Jayfeather immeadiatly ran to her side, shocked and horrified for his mother. The warriors were fighting off the hawk whilst Jayfeather was stitching up his mother. Leafpool could tell her son was trying everything he could to heal her but her vision quickly got blury.
"J-jayfeather" Leafpool muttered hoarsly. "L-leafpool. Y-you'll be ok i promise..." Jayfeather replied, grief clouded eyes glancing down at her. Leafpool smiled sadly, her breathing getting shallower and shallower the more time went by. Leafpool finally gave up and slowly let Starclan lead her on a new path. Her breathing finally stopped and her body then lay limp in the blood stained grass as the hawk flew away with an injurged wing. Jayfeather was frozen in surprise. "Leafpool? N-no! Leafpool please... don't leave" Squriellflight sobbed onto her littlermates limp and lifeless body. Lionblaze sat in silence, his head down long with his brothers. The clan sighed in grief and Sandstorm sat next to her duaghter in remorse. "Leafpool was a great medicine cat to Thunderclan, alothough she sometimes didn't obey the warrior code, she still was a loyal member of Thunderclan" Bramblestar croaked, pity in his voice.
