The shots rang through the entire school, but only three people really knew what had happened.

Spinner barely knew what was happening when the bullets penetrated the young blond that had been standing next to him. Paige fell to the floor and Spinner knelt down beside her as a pool of blood formed around her.

Someone had called an ambulance, but he didn't care. He knew that she wasn't going to make it. So, he just held her as tight as he could, his tears mixing with the blood on the hall floor.
"Paige, hold on. Someone's coming to help you."

The ambulance came and took her and Spinner away. Once at the hospital they rushed her into surgery.

Spinner was a nervous wreck for the next hour and a half. When the doctor finally came out the news wasn't any better than when Paige had gone in.
"I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do." The doctor said coming over to Spinner.
"Can I go see her?" Spinner sobbed.
The doctor nodded and led him back to Paige's room.

He walked into the room and saw Paige laying on the bed, in obvious pain. He walked over to her and sat down in the chair next to the bed. Paige turned her head ever so slightly, so she could see Spinner. He met her gaze and smiled sadly.

Spinner leaned down and kissed Paige one last time. For the rest of his life, Spinner would remember this moment as the saddest moment. The heart monitor beeped one last long beep and she was gone.
