Under the Stars
The starry night shown over the hill top. The stars twinkling gazes focused upon the still forums of two young shinobi.
They laid there at peace in the soft turf. The only sounds came from their steady heart beats soothing them with the calming melody.
"Sasuke..." It was said in such a low whisper yet the ebony haired boy heard it none the less. He gave a soft "Hn" to show he was listening but other wise stayed quiet.
The blond next to him remained silent, forming the right words into his head before bring them into knowing. It wasn't something Naruto did often for he usual spoke with out think but tonight was different. Gone was his impulsiveness, leaving nothing but cautious wondering.
"Sasuke... why do people hate what they don't know? How can you hate something with such a passion when you know nothing about it." His words were light and serious, some how fitting the atmosphere around them.
Sasuke was taken aback by such a question from his normally hyper rival. He looked to Naruto in silent questioning before answering in the best way that he could. " I don't really know myself." He took a minute to ponder before continuing, "People are just cruel. We tend to only think only about ourselves, not wanting to think of others. They don't think of how others might feel, besides it is so much easier to hate something you fear than trying to get to know it... but that's what makes you weak. In the we have to be strong and understand that which we fear so that we can over come it." The Uchiha gave his friend a smile before adding, " You just need to prove to them that you are someone to respect and not to fear and hate."
Naruto thought for a moment before taking in all of what Sasuke had said. It was all very much true even if it did hurt in some forms to think about it. He would just have to be strong and hope for a brighter future.
"Ne, I guess I will just have to work twice as hard, so that I may become hokage and then everyone will love me." He declared, with his blazing spirit born anew.
"Dobe." Sasuke turned to face his now smiling companion, giving him a quick kiss. "You are already loved."
The blond beamed at the Uchiha's word's. For some reason Sasuke could always make everything better and for that Naruto was thankful. Placing a soft kiss to his rivals forehead, Naruto began to maneuver into the welcoming warmth of Sasuke's welcoming embrace.
"Sasuke..."
"Hn.."
"Thank you."
