Ok, I've kinda been wanting to write a songfic like this for awhile, but I couldn't find the right song with the right lyrics. Then, one day, I was scanning Green Day songs on and found it!!!

We haven't really seen each other a whole lot in a long while. There are way too many newbies for that.

I almost don't remember the faces of the original crew.

We used to be a tight knit super-team. Now we're Superheroes 'R Us. I think I liked the tight knit version a tad better.

We save more people now, get more ground (and by ground, I mean disasters) covered. But if you tell anyone I said that, I'll just deny it.

At times I feel overwhelmed

I can barely remember everyone's names, hero and real, and it's even more fast-paced now, somehow.

I questioned what I can give

I wondered for the longest time if we expanded not because we were too few, but because we were just not good enough.

I'm kinda the team optimist, and I'll keep it up. Somebody's gotta cheer up Bats when the new kids bother him. . . if they're really as annoying as I originally tried to be, ha ha ha.

The one thing that used to bothers me sometimes was the fact that I'm the Flash! A founding member, and yet they still occasionally sent a couple new guys to handle what I could do alone. But, I figureded they need the experience, and there'll be other missions.

I was when we all really met for the first time. J'onn explaining how we had to save the world, flirting with a clueless Diana and G.L. yellin' at me for it. Even still, though, that was better then never seeing them.

I was there when we officially formed. Superman suggesting the idea, and everyone agreeing. Even Batman with his, "When you need me, and you will, call me." It was perfect.

I was there when the original League fell apart. I remember hugging Hawkgirl as she lest after she resigned, not sure when I'd see her again. I forgave her. After all, she came through for us in the end. She was still Hawkgirl, my friend, and I know John still loves her, though I doubt the others felt as charitable.

I was there when we formed and I guess I'll be there 'til I die. I know we're the Justice League, whether there's seven of us, or seven hundred. Just doesn't make it easier though, does it?
