The Life I Want
by Armonia
Why can't I be like him? He looks so happy and proud sitting with his brother and parents around him. I just don't understand why he would leave all this and come back to the school. Now, he's planning to tell them that he's a mutant. He's going to ruin everything for himself.
Doesn't matter anyway. If all this goes wrong, he would still have Rogue. Rogue loves him more than life itself. That is when Logan isn't around. She'll stick by him no matter what he decides to do. She could have been mine if I tried hard enough to get her but, then again, I don't think Bobby would have had backed off if I got her. She wouldn't go for me anyway.
I should just leave. I don't mean just this house. I mean never going back to the school. No one would notice. They wouldn't even care. I know they wouldn't. Wait a minute. I hear people in the kitchen. It's Bobby's parents. I got to see this blow up in his face.
Bobby just told his parents everything
This wasn't what I was expecting. I was waiting for some big fight or something. No one's talking. His brother won't look at anyone, his father isn't saying a word, and his mother just starting talking. Just look how fast Rogue is to defend him. I would never do that for anyone. Don't they understand that you have to look out for yourself. His brother just ran upstairs.
A few minutes later
Logan's phone thing just rang and he went outside. Bobby's mother ask the dumbest questions. Asking a person like us to try not to me a mutant is like asking a fish to try and live out of water. You can't change who you are. I'm reminded of that every time I get up in the morning. Don't she understand that. Of course, she doesn't. She's normal.
Logan just old us to leave quickly. I follow them but I have to take one last look at that family picture. Those happy looking faces doesn't have quite the same affect on me than it did before. Listening to everything his mother said made me think that I was right. You have to look out for yourself. I guess I doesn't want his life anyway.
