Victoria was standing a lush forest. It had just rained and the thick moisture in the air made it hard to breathe. She wore her deep auburn locks half up in loose, ringlet curls, clear gems scattered throughout the long tresses. Her elegant, sage green, Elizabethan inspired gown trailed on the damp earth behind her, miraculously, not picking up mud. It was trimmed with gold ribbon and accented with silver and pearl beads, like a 16th century princess. A floor length, lace veil shielded her emerald eyes. She was looking at the ground, tears trickling down her cheeks, when there was a snap of a twig to her left and an icy hand rested on her bare shoulder. She looked at it out of the corner of her eye. Pale and strong. Her head turned slowly to meet the strangers mesmerizing gold eyes framed by shaggy, chocolate brown hair. His gorgeous mouth curled into a smile and he handed her a dew-covered rose.

The pallid man brushed the veil to the side and kissed her head. Delicately, he slid his red lips to the base of her exposed neck. She tilted her head to the side and he slowly opened his mouth breathing cold air as his sharp teeth penetrated her skin. Victoria's eyes widened and then relaxed. At first, the subtle prick burned, like fire, but only seconds later, it filled her body with passion and ecstasy. Victoria could feel warm liquid streaming down her shoulder seeping into her exquisite gown, but she did not seem to mind at all. She reached her hand behind her, stroking his hair until it was over.

When he finished, his teeth were dripping sweet, crimson syrup. Victoria turned to him again, her eyes pleading for more but he shook his head. The mystery man peered down at her through his brown bangs, a subtle grin stretched across his face, and then he disappeared with a gust of wind.
