"Azarath, Metrion, Zin - "
She was interrupted.
Rudely interrupted.
Raven sat secluded in her bedroom - preparing for a late-night meditating session. Her mind was elsewhere - lost in her thoughts, and her room swallowed her up in pitch blackness.
She was levitating about an inch above the ground, covered in her usual indigo cloak, and her hood worn comfortably upon her head - of course, until she was impolitely bothered by the loudest member of the team: Beast Boy.
"Raven! Aren't you going to go trick-or-treating with us?" her green friend exclaimed, sporting a disturbing mask and horrible glued-on feathers.
"No I despise Halloween, besides, what are you supposed to be?"
"A beast, duh! Get it? Beast Boy?"
"No, I don't."
He frowned at her, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment, clearly she wasn't amused at his attempt of a joke, "I guess not. Anyways, come on and join us for some free candy!"
"I don't have a costume," She responded apathetically, poking at his badly manufactured costume.
"Hmm," Beast Boy contemplated, "dude! I've got it! Why don't you be a chicken?"
"No."
"A mummy?"
"No way."
"Oh! You should be me! You could totally be me - all you have to do is paint your skin green and -"
"No way in Azarath, would I ever want to portray you - holiday or not."
He laughed at her response, then suddenly revealed a smirk.
"I know!"
Raven glared at him with a lack of interest plastered on her face, "well? I have better things to do you know."
"Why don't you dress up as my girlfriend?" He suggested coyly.
She was appalled by his offer, not knowing whether to take him seriously or not. Her eyes were frozen on him.
After several seconds, she promptly raised an eyebrow, and replied, "fine."
"Whoa! What, really?"
She stood awkwardly, watching his facial expressions.
"I was joking, of course not."
"It's a date then right Raven?"
"No, it's not a date."
She then walked past him, avoiding eye contact, and gestured for him to follow.
"Sure - Of course it isn't," Beast Boy whispered to himself.
