Origins
We see them; the gray skinned ones, they come near our water, to show their youth what and where we are. They are free to walk the land; to go where they please, while we suffer in this water. They wear our bones around their neck, to show us that they are superior, and that we can't claim them. They mock us, they torment us. How we hate them, how we loathe them, how we despise them. They will be ours.
We see one of them thrown into our view, an animal jumps at it, starts to tear at it. We see its necklace get torn from its neck, we rejoice. We wait for it to kill the animal, then it will be ours, then they will be ours. As it should be, as it will be, as it will always be.
The fight is over, the animal is killed. The gray skinned one is panting over its kill. It does not realize where it is. We strike. It senses us, it tries to kill us, and it fails. We have claimed it. It is scared. We hear its thoughts, it begs us to let it die. We howl in victory. We learn what it knows; we know they call us Goa'uld, which means water filth. No longer will it mean that, it will mean master, it will mean God.
We go back to its camp. We have its memories. They do not suspect anything. We watch them, we learn, we wait.
A sickness has come to the tribe, many have died. They are weak, disorganized, but we are not. One by one we take them to the water. One by one we claim them. One by one our numbers grow.
Time passes, we claim other tribes, they resist, and we kill them. We bathe in their blood, we eat of their flesh, we rejoice.
We find a circular object. We do not know what is, but we do feel its power. We build our life around the object, we relish in its power.
We stop. We hear a noise. We turn towards the object, the inside of it is spinning, red lights our coming from it. A blue wave rushes out from it. We are startled. We hide.
A creature steps out of the wave. Walking on two legs, it strolls forward, unaware that we are there. We slowly came out of hiding. We startle it. We stay still. We stare at it, it stares at us. We move forward. It steps backward. We rush it. It kills many of us with a weapon that shoots light. We disable it. We injure it. We take it to the water. We claim it. We see what it knows.
We are astonished. We are intrigued. We learn. We become I.
