Prologue Night of Fire Note: Just wanted to try this out- enjoy. Summary: he watched as the silhouette outline of a raven haired female with cerulean blue eyes smiled back at him before the balance beam obscured his vision and the whole building tumbled down.
The sound of running feet were heard, the architect around, engulfed with raging flames crackled with life. It ate everything in its path burning everything to ashes. The sound of running feet were heard again, only this time it was more quickened.
He panted; his left hand clutched his chest in the place where his heart was. He wouldn't last long. He felt his hair press against his face from the blazing heat that raged around them. He stared around taking in the scene before him; what was once a beautiful hospital, now beyond recognition with the intense inferno.
"Come on Bankotsu! We've got to get out of here before the place collapse and we're both consumed." he heard his partner say as he clung on onto the hand with a firm grip. They both ran for their lives, turning corners, running down stairs, side-stepping fallen debris. It was an endless maze; until finally, they saw it… up ahead a fire escape route with its door burned off from its hinges. They saw the many people outside all gapping at the burning structure failing to notice that two individuals from within were trying to escape.
"Hurry Bankotsu!" he was tugged again and the two sprinted full speed towards the exit. He looked up at a whim and gasped loudly as the balance beam from the ceiling began to crumble. He tugged at his partner's arm and pointed. The person looked up and cursed. "Only one of us is going to make it out in one piece Bankotsu, the both of us won't make it at this rate." Bankotsu frowned hard at this.
He yelled in surprise as his partner took hold of his right arm. "You, are to live Bankotsu, be happy and live your life to your fullest." He heard her whisper. He felt his whole body propel around in a three sixty motion before he was hurled towards the door. He yelled in horror and turned his head back, as his flying body was thrown outside, he watched as the silhouette outline of a raven haired female with cerulean blue eyes smiling back at him before the balance beam obscured his vision and the whole building tumbled down. Not before he screamed out a name…
