Author's Note: This is a day for Ron and Hermione where Rose is getting over a cold and Hugo was at grandma and grandpa Weasley have Hugo.
A First Dance
"Mama."
'Yes Rose."
"What was your first dance with dad like?"
"You know Hermione for a three year old she's pretty smart."
"That she is Ron, Hugo's only one and I think that he's going to surpass both of us. Same as Rose."
"Mommy! Answer!"
"Alright Rose. Well, our first dance was at Aunt Fleur and Uncle Bill's wedding."
"Wow." She got that look of complete amazement in her eyes. "Was cousin Victiore there?"
A small chuckle escaped both me and Ron at that moment. "No Rose it's a little before her time."
"Well where was she then?"
"She was a star in the sky. Along with grandpa. Just like you were before you were born." "Oh was I a pretty star."
I swear she gets more like Ron every day.
"Yes Rose, you were a very pretty star. Now let mom finish the story."
"Okay daddy."
She ran over and jumped on Ron's lap. "Okay mommy."
"Thank you Rose. Where was I? Well one of the guests at the wedding daddy did not like at all. And daddy's very protective of mommy, so he didn't want me to talk to that particular guest. So when he saw him coming around he asked me to dance. Now daddy is a very clumsy dancer, so we kept on tripping, but we had a really good time."
"Oh." She let out a nice long yawn.
"I think it's time for someone's nap."
"Carry me mommy."
She put out her arms and I could not say no to my 'ginger beauty'. When I got back downstairs Ron was still sitting on the couch.
"So Mr. Weasley what's the plan for the afternoon?"
"Well Mrs. Weasley Hugo's with my parents, Rose's asleep. We have at least a few hours to ourselves."
"I'm happy she's finally feeling better."
"Me too. How about we put on our wedding video, since we're talking about dancing."
"I like that idea."
We both ended up falling asleep ourselves. Sadly I fell asleep first, though. Rose asked us later when her first dance with her husband was going to be. Ron nearly choked on his food. So I guess you could say that Rose is looking forward to her first dance.
