Natsu's P.O.V

" Lucy!" I yelled to my childhood friend and teammate, as I entered the fairy tail guildhall.

" Oh Natsu, hi!" The blond celestial mage waved for me to join her. Everyone had questioned why Lucy hadn't been a take over mage like her brother and sister, or why she was blonde with brown eyes instead of white hair with blue eyes, but I didn't care. This made Lucy unique, and it just made me love her more. No one knew I housed secret feelings for Lucy, but I wasn't that dense about love.

" Natsu? Helllooooo, are you there? Earthland to Natsu!" Lucy began waving a hand in front of my face. I grinned my signature smirk.

" Lucy! Let's go on a mission together!"

" Oh sorry Natsu, I would if I could," Lucy reassured me as my face dropped," But I already promised Mira- nee and Elf-nii I'd go on a mission with them! I'll go on a mission with you when I get back. That I promise you." Lucy smiled at me, and I couldn't help smile back at her.

" Great!" At that moment Happy flew in.

" Natsuuuu, why you always have to run so fast? I can't keep up!"

" Sorry Happy!" When I turned around to face Happy, I thought I saw Lucy blush before she walked over to Cana and Levy. The other two girls almost ambushed Lucy with unheard questions. This seemed to make her blush with even more intensity. I smiled softly before rushing over the request board to pick a mission for when Lucy returned from her job with Mira and Elfman.

5 Days Later…

" Look! Mira and Elfman are back!" I stopped fighting with the Ice stripper long enough to see if Lucy was with them. She wasn't.

" Hey Mira," I yelled as I rushed over to the two take over mages." Elfman, where's Lucy?" Something was terribly wrong. Mira looked like she had been crying, same with Elfman. They were covered in bruises and scratches.

" What's wrong? Elfman? Mira?" Where was Lucy? I looked at the Strauss siblings.

" I'm so sorry Natsu. We couldn't save her. We're so sorry. We couldn't save her!" Mira started sobbing. Elfman put his arm around her. The guild was filled with silence.

" Mira what are you talking about? What do you mean you couldn't save her? Lucy's hiding behind you right Elfman?" I started getting frantic when Elfman started to shake his head.

"Where's Lucy?" I shouted and turned around to face the guild. I repeated my question.

" That's enough Natsu!" Makarov snapped. "Mira, Elfman what happened and where is your sister?"

Mira just shook her head and kept sobbing. Elfman squeezed her shoulder lightly and looked a Makarov.

"Master, we were ambushed on our way back from the mission. We put up a huge fight to our attackers, but…"

" But what Elfman?" Gramps coaxed.

" One of the strongest of the bandits, Master he was really strong! EVEN MIRA HAD A HARD TIME! WHILE WE WERE FIGHTING OFF THE OTHERS, HE SOMEHOW GOTTA HOLD OF LITTLE-SIS!" Tears were streaming down Elfman's cheeks. "Then they disappeared, like they were never there. And Lucy was gone too."
