Title: In the Parking Lot of Breadstix
Pairing: Sam/Kurt, with Blaine/Kurt mentioned
Summary: Sam makes a confession.
Disclaimer: I do not own Glee or it's characters.
Kurt: Sam, what was that? No, Sam, look at me.
Sam: It wasn't anything.
Kurt: What?
Sam: It wasn't anything!
Kurt: Oh, it wasn't anything. Being an outright jerk to my friend isn't anything.
Sam: Your friend? You're telling me Blaine is your—he's your friend?
Kurt: That isn't important right now. Sam, you're a great guy—I mean, you have your douchey moments and all—but, listen, you're a great guy—
Sam: Thanks.
Kurt: No, let me finish! You're great guy, but, God, sometimes I don't quite know what to think about you. One minute you're acting like a civilized human being, the next you're bitching out my boyfriend.
Sam: Oh, so he is your boyfriend.
Kurt: Sam, listen! I—
Sam: No, Kurt. You listen. I—okay, you know what—just look. It's awesome that you've found someone that you can relate to so well. With the bullying and all the stuff that I wouldn't get. Blaine's a great guy, too, but I think you're aware of this—no, I know you're aware of this and no matter what or do or how much I try he'll always be the greater guy—
Kurt: Try? You're trying to—
Sam: I never said that!
Kurt: Yes, you did, just now, Sam—
Sam: Kurt. You and Blaine are together and that's great. He's great. You're great. You're great … together. And all that. A perfect, happy life together—a relationship without conflict and all that crap. That's what you wanted all along wasn't it?
Kurt: I guess…No, I mean. Yes. But, Sam—
Sam: You're really great Kurt. That's what I'm trying to say.
Kurt: That's what you're trying to say?
Sam: Well, no, but I'm saying it right now and I'll say this. You deserve a great, great guy like Blaine.
Kurt: Blaine isn't that great. He has flaws like everyone else.
Sam: Which makes makes him…greater?
Kurt: Sam—
Sam: I'm getting tired of that word. But I'm happy that you've found someone that makes you so …happy. I'd be happier if, well, no. Never mind. Forget it.
Kurt: What?
Sam: Forget it, Kurt. As in, "This conversation is over."
Kurt: No, it isn't. It's not over until you tell me—
Sam: Kurt, I like you.
Kurt: I—oh—I…Sam.
Sam: No, no, you don't have to say anything. It's just that—I—I mean. I think, Blaine's great, but I'm great to. Didn't you just say that? That I'm great?
Kurt: You're great, Sam…
Sam: You're great too, Kurt. That's all I wanted to say.
Kurt: I—no, Sam. What about—Sam, Quinn.
Sam: I know, Kurt. I know who Quinn is. She's my girlfriend. And she's great, too, but … But she's just there. She'll always just be there. Being … great and stuff—and not-
Kurt: And not?
Sam: And not you.
