"So, Vampire kid, do you have any actual alternatives to offer?" Narumi asked Mikaela, their discussion of the situation was going nowhere.

"Well, there was a vampire who involved herself with the curse of the seraphs, Krul Tepes, the Queen of Japan, my mother." Mother was the best word he could use to describe Krul's relationship to him. She cared for him and was the only person to actually show kindness to him while he was living in the Vampire City.

"But she was captured by the other vampires when she sacrificed herself to save me, I do not know what happened to her since then." He added softly, a pang of guilt and, oddly enough, sadness rushed through him when he recalled about her situation. His face contorted ever so slightly but it did not escape the notice of Mitsuba.

"You did love her (as a son would her mother), didn't you?" She sounded sympathethic.

"Yes I did. She was kind to me and though she can be scary sometimes she always treated me with warmth and kindness. She saved me countless times and though she did turn me to become a vampire, I wouldn't have met Yuu again if she didn't. It is hard to hate someone when they have done all that for you." He sighed. Yuu looked at him in concernand wanted to speak up but then a small, black figure caught Mika's eye.

Mika immediately recognized it to be Krul's pet bat, Arukanu. He chased after it and managed to catch it, cradling it in his arms.

"What is that Mika?" Yuu called out to him.

"It is Krul's pet bat." He replied as it once again flew out of his arms, him chasing after it. His friends began running towards him too.

"What if it is just a trap Mika? Maybe they used that thing to lure us out." Yuu reasoned to his brother.

"No it is loyal to Krul. It could die from just being separated from her out of sheer sadness." But the vampire bat didn't look sad at all. He gasped as realization dawned on him.

"Doesn't that mean…." Kimizuki seemed to realize it too and wanted to voice it out but was interrupted by the rustling of leaves. Everyone took out their weapons and held a battle-ready stance.

"Mika…" came a voice from the trees, a voice he had heard for the last 4 years. He felt unusual delight and relief after hearing the voice. His head instantly whipped around, the speed of it almost causing his neck to break. The sight that awaited him made him completely ecstatic, and somewhat relieved that she was safe.

"Krul!" He exclaimed and ran in her direction. He stopped just in front of her as another vampire came into view. One that he has seen before somewhere. The vampire had the physique of a child, similar to Krul's. He had white and red hair with a tophat over them leaning over to one side. He was well-dressed and it immediately told him that he was a high ranking progenitor. Something about the vampire before him emanated power and resolve. His analytical looks did not escape both vampires and Krul let out a small chuckle.

"Why don't you introduce yourselves?" She practically ordered them.

"Don't order me around, Krul." He threatened, but a playful glint could be made in the words. He turned to look at Mika," My name is Lest Karr, a Third Progenitor and the King of Germany."

"I am Mikaela Hyakuya, sir." He said in a polite manner, which seemed to amuse Krul.

"Aww, Lest does love it when his subjects act all obedient." She mused, but then her façade came back into a bored look. "Anyways, we were just looking for you, and did I just hear that girl say that you loved me?" She poked at him, her teasing and childlike behavior returning.

He flushed a little and noticed Lest Karr glaring straight through him in the next instant immediately rose to defend himself," I d-d-did, but it was more like love for a parent than anything." He managed to stutter out from the embarrassment and the awkwardness that he was being glared at. The moment he said it though, Lest seemed to loosen up and the glare softened and his lips turned into a relieved smile.

What was that about? He thought to himself, a bit confused at the progenitor's actions.

"Hey Krul, mind if I asked something?" He asked politely.

"Why are u acting so polite Mika? But of course you can ask. After all you just did." She replied with a touch of sass.

"How did you manage to get here? Last I saw you were captured by that twat Ferid Bathory." He asked slightly curious and wondering if the other progenitor had to do something with it.

"Oh that. Lest here saved me, I am quite thankful to him and well he is my friend… secretly at least" she answered enthusiastically while hooking her arms with that of Lest Karr's . Mika scrunched his eyebrows at that, she had never acted so close to anyone before, and why did they have to keep this friendship discreet, surely it wouldn't hurt to—his train of thought was stopped by Lest's voice.

"Yes I did save you and well although I didn't approve of what you did breaking those taboos I can say you did have a point and so I decided to save you although I may regret it later as we are probably branded traitors by now." He said rather regretfully, although a touch of mirth lightened his remark. He cared for Krul. Truly cared, he didn't care if his reputation was ruined as long as he didn't need to see her suffering so much as he did when he first saw her, deprived of blood to near insanity, bite marks ruffling the once soft skin as dried blood crumpled over, evident her blood had been sucked numerous times by that Ferid Bathory. He despised him absolutely, almost every vampire did so due to his innumerable antics and he was very cunning. He had always loved Krul. She was his dearest friend and secret ally. Everyone thought they were at each other's throats but that was just an act to disguise for other high progenitors may grow paranoid and try to contest their power should they show their friendship in anyway. It was a means to make the others believe that they were competing with each other which made them completely oblivious to whatever schemes they plotted to gain more influence for themselves. Heck, you can even say their friendship blossomed into something deeper, a very human albeit nice relationship to have, especially with Krul.

"I am sure it is still fine if you go back now Lest. They wont ever know and would just think I escaped on my own and you tried to track me down. Maybe Urd would know but he won't expose you. You shouldn't let yourself be tangled into this mess I've made." Krul suggested to him with a shrug. She was always trying to keep him from danger, Lest thought. He considered her suggestion for a moment before brushing it off. He felt it was time to let everyone know the relationship he and Krul shared.

"No Krul. I am tired of hiding this relationship. I am tired of bickering with you and pretending to be at each other's throats. I will stand by you now and I don't care what they may think of it. I know your reasons for doing this and I would have done the same if I were you. I will not abandon you again. I l-love you Krul." He replied to her, slightly stuttering at the end at his confession. He blushed a light shade of pink and decided to go all the way. He cupped her cheek with one of his gloved hands, her skin felt so smooth even through them, and kissed her flat on the lips. His action seemed to surprise her as it took her a moment to kiss him back.

Her heart fluttered like butterflies when she heard her confession. She was stunned at first when he kissed her but she held his head and kissed him back. Locking her lips with his ferociously, what started as a small, soft kiss began to develop into a tangled mess of lips and tongues. They fought each other for dominance and felt the world go numb around them as they were in their own private heaven. They only broke out of it when Mika cleared his throat, clearly showing his displeasure at their show of affection. A chorus of 'oohs" could be heard from the humans behind Mika as well.

They pulled apart slightly and Krul muttered softly," I love you too, Lest." They then faced the humans, who were grinning although one of them looked slightly nervous and awkward. She couldn't help but feel a little blush creep up to her cheeks. Then an awkward silence hung around them as none of them talked for a while.

"You know we should head back inside, it looks like it is going to rain soon." Yoichi said, his voices cutting through the silence like a hot knife through butter.

"Yeah, we do not want to catch a cold out here." Narumi agreed and began to walk to the house that they built. He was still slightly distrustful about the newcomers but from what he learned about the two high-ranking progenitors, it seemed like they could kill every single one of them in a heartbeat if they wished too, so he had no choice but to comply with them, although Mika did assure them that Krul won't hurt them…. probably.

They all walked inside of the house in silence. They sat around the rug in the center, there were many sleeping bags laying around the floor. They sat in silence, the humans eyeing the newcomers warily.

"Now there is no need for those wary eyes. We don't hurt livestock unless we have to." Lest Karr commented snarkily, trying to lighten the mood. It seemed to, however, do the complete opposite.

"What did you just call me?" Yuuichirou seethed out. He couldn't contain himself and he lunged at the Third Progenitor, sword raised, intending on slashing him where he stood—sat. His blade met the cold floor however, as the childlike vampire suddenly appeared behind him and gripped his sword arm threateningly. Damn the vampire speed, he thought. His friends all seemed to tense up at this and held a firm grip on their weapons.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, human. Do not make me angry." Lest said, his words contained an underlying threat to them. "I can kill you and your friends where you stand. So as I've said before, do NOT make me angry." Yuu understood when to back out of a fight, knowing that they stood no chance against the progenitors. He sat back down, defeated. Lest was still staring at him, as if daring him to make another move.

"Calm down Lest. We need them as much as they need us right now. Try not to taunt them kay?" Krul said to him after they had sat and calmed down.

They talked about many things, mainly about Krul an Lest and they also told them stories about the world back in the Dark Ages, and about their past history. Krul didn't—no, couldn't—talk much about her dear brother, Ashera Tepes. She didn't look too happy when sharing about her past before becoming a vampire which raised a few eyebrows, but no one asked any questions, for fear of distressing the former Queen.

The next morning, the humans ate together while the vampires went around to obtain some blood donors. Krul and Lest was walking together when a human child, probably of age 5 bumped into them.

The child upon seeing them grew terrified and instantly apologized. Her mother arrived and she froze when she saw the two vampires near her child.

"Stay away from her!" The mother exclaimed, trying to grab her child but Lest took the child before she could and cut the child's wrist. He let her bleed into a transparent flask, containing the urge to grab the child and drain her dry. All the while, the parents of the child were trying to force her from his grasp. He covered up her wound with a bandage and gave the obviously terrified child back to her mother.

The mother then cradled her child and glared at the two vampires, hate evident in her eyes Krul took a drink first, and left half for Lest as he drank his fill. Krul was now kneeling and tried to play with the child.

"Come on, there is no need to be afraid of me. After all, I could easily kill you yet I haven't, which means I have no intentions of doing so." The child grew even more terrified and squealed. She let out an exasperated sigh. Livestock are always so terrified of us… she thought …although it must be said that is quite natural to be terrified. Most vampires are also afraid to be in her presence.

The father came at long last. He balled up his fists and ran to his family's side, ready to protect them if needed. "Get away from us NOW!" He growled threateningly, although he didn't faze Krul or Lest in the slightest. They were amused at how daring this human was.

"Or what Mister?" Krul asked, taunting the man. The man shook with fury, hands balled into fists so hard his knuckles turned white. He didn't seem to be the type that handled taunting well. HE lashed out and threw punches at Krul, which the latter easily dodged. Then she decided she had enough of the games and gripped his throat lifting him easily. She spun him around and shoved him towards the ground…. hard. She then dove after him and bit into his neck, sucking his blood out. She stopped just before he lost enough blood for it to be fatal and sauntered away without looking back. That ought to teach him a thing or two, she thought. Lest also stayed at her side all the time watching it with an amused smile.

They met Mika along the way and went inside of the house together. What they saw inside made them freeze instantly. They saw all the humans tied together with ropes and also a bunch of common vampires around them. They assumed a battle position and was ready to charge before they heard-

"So this is where you went, Krul Tepes." They snapped around to see a blonde vampire with tanned skin. The vampire was none other than Urd Geales, the Second Progenitor and Sovereign of Russia. He was the leader of the Progenitor Council, and was the most powerful of all the vampires currently, excluding the First progenitor himself and was as powerful as Rigr Stafford, the other Second Progenitor. They froze when they saw him, they knew even with the two of them, it would be a hard fight to win especially with Ky Luc, the fifth progenitor standing beside him with that amused grin on his face.

"I must say, it surprises me that you, Lest Karr, out of all people would help her. I had my suspicions at the start about your relationship status, but I still didn't expect this. Now I wonder if that was because she convinced you into helping her by telling you what she wanted from all of this? Well, Why don't you tell me about it and maybe you can convince me too, Krul Tepes." Urd asked them impassively, he didn't seem like he was threatening them in the least. He looked bored and uninterested although it was probably just a façade. He didn't seem to want to arrest them immediately so that was good. He looked on at Krul expectantly and she, after some time staring at him, spoke up breaking the uneasiness floating around the room.

"Alright, I will tell you why I broke our taboo. What he stole from me." She said the words with so much pain and hatred one could hardly fail to notice. Urd caught on about who she was talking about. He nodded, allowing her to continue. She continued painfully,

A/N: Okay that is it for now. It was only about 700 words in my head but I seemed to have gotten a bit carried away and it got quite verbose. This is originally going to be a oneshot but if you so wish I can write a few more chapters for the story. Thanks for reading!
