Hidoii no Onna
Chapter 1: Asagohan
By Black Widow
There were several things Crawford would never admit to being scared of. Beets, spiders and getting dirty were among that list, though they didn't top the number one scary thing on his list. Her. That girl sitting across from him at the dining room table of their lavish five bedroom penthouse in Yokohama. She was scary, downright scary, more than Farfello.
Too cute, with a button nose and lime-colored hair put up in pigtails with blue bead scrunchies that matched the blue highlights in her bright green hair. And too cute meant scary to the stoic American. No one would ever suspect that the girl was a terrible, terrible person on the inside, with her happy smiles and way too hyper personality.
Not even Nagi saw past her innocent façade and he was dating the girl! He was as drawn to the 16-year-old as he had been to Tot, and everyone knew where that had gone. The leader of Schwarz shuddered when the girl smiled happily at her boyfriend and bounced off to wash her bowl in the sink.
The telekinetic practically melted under that scary smile, though it didn't really seem like he had. Oracle had been around the teen long enough to know when he was angry, annoyed or simply obsessed with someone. And Nagi was obsessed. Rolling his eyes, he directed his attention back to the newspaper only to be redirecting it again, this time to the telepath that was sitting next to him.
Schuldig was snickering into his Frosted Flakes, green gaze on his leader. Brad irked as he found that he had left his shields down, and that the telepath had picked up on his train of thought. He sent a laugh-one-more-time-or-die glare that failed to work; it only caused the snickering to turn into gales of laughter that got Nagi and Toshie's attention.
"Nani?" Toshie asked, pink eyes shifting between Nagi, Schuldig and Crawford with curiosity. There was a brush of her mind over the American's shields and he pulled them tighter, knowing she wasn't fully trained yet in her abilities. She pouted when she couldn't get in, already having found nothing in the other teens mind she turned to Schuldig.
Her pout become even heavier when she couldn't get into the choking German's mind. Crawford arched an eyebrow at him, slapping him on the back a couple of times, the choking subsiding into small snickers. He stood up, gathering his cup of coffee and newspaper, daring Schuldig to say anything about it as he left. "It's nothing Toshie."
Toshie
pouted some more, flipping one pigtail over her shoulder. "'S not fair…" She
looked at her boyfriend and then at Schuldig, who was digging through the
fridge with a carton of milk in one hand. Immediately recovering from her
pouting she tackled Schuldig, who emitted a cross between a squeak and a yelp
at the motion. "What're we doing today?"
"We're training." Nagi said,
before the telepath could, glaring at him like he was stealing her. The German
only grinned in response.
