Prologue

It's funny how something so great can be so bad when it's the end. It's like the glass duck that I adored so much, but had later broke. It was given to my mom when she was my age, by her mom. The story behind it was my grandmother thought it always brought luck to her, and my mother believed the same. Ever since she received it she had been lucky to find money on the floor, a great paying job, true love, and have a precious baby girl. So on and so forth it was amazing what that "lucky duck" can do. But when I received it, things started to change.

Turns out things went perfect in the beginning, after a year of having it, my luck had a sudden change. I ended up finding money on the floor, got a nice paying job, even though I'm young to get one. I also found true love. His name was Martin, the best addition to my life. He and I were only fifteen, but it seems that we could've last a lifetime with each other. I was undeniably in love with him, and it was amazing what we did day after day. It's what any girl wanted, a dependable, respectful, loving guy that will always forget to not be at your seemed perfect until things got strange, and that's how I knew that my lucky streak ended.
