"Luxa please." Gregor pleads.

"What?" Luxa asks hurriedly as she glances down the dark corridor.

"I'm going back home now." Gregor tells her sadly.

"I know." Luxa whispers as a tear falls down her check.

She wipes the tear from her face, but the motion doesn't escape Gregor. He takes a hand and holds it to her face.

"We have to be strong Gregor." Luxa whispers to him.

Gregor glances down at himself. He's covered in dirt, his hands are slightly burnt but his eyes still gleam.

"You're queen here Luxa." He says as she looks down at the ground. Gently, he lifts her face and takes her hand with his. "But we still have this moment, right now, together."

She blinks away tears and throws her arms around his neck. He holds her close and strokes her hair.

"Luxa I love you, but I have to go back with my family." He whispers into her ear.

"Will you come back ever?"

"I promise."

Luxa sniffles and then leans back so she looks him in the eyes. "I'll be waiting."

Suddenly his face lights up in a way that nearly brightened the underworld tunnel. "I'm so sure that I'll be back here, they'll write a prophecy saying how I come back to you."

Luxa can't help but giggle. "Hopefully, you won't be coming back to kill anything soon."

"I'd kill anything they need me to in this place, if it meant I got to see your shining face again." He says solemnly.

"That shouldn't be necessary, but thanks." Luxa gives him a rare smile that makes him feel weak at the knees.

"My queen." Gregor bows and looks up at her with a devilish glint in his eyes.

Luxa laughs and curtsies back. "My knight."

"Unfortunately, I'm not in shining armor." He points down to his battle ridden clothes.

"It's good enough for me."

"Luxa?" Gregor starts.

"Yes Gregor?" Luxa whispers as her heart seems to still with anticipation.

"May I kiss you, before I go?"

"I thought you'd never ask."

Gregor leans forward as Luxa closes her eyes. Their lips touch in the darkness and seal their never ending love for each other.
