You stand before me broken,
With shadow-haunted eyes
Scars mar your face as token
Of so many stolen lives
You share the name my child bore
But my child's clearly gone
His unyielding spirit died in war
I'll remember him as strong
The tormented soul before me now
Is a shell of values without meaning
A desperate oath, a hopeless vow
One who cannot die, but still is bleeding
So you closed your heart and smiled
And lost the will to live
You've killed my only child
For that, I can't forgive
