Summary: Piper Subconsciously Charmspeaks Jason into loving her. Dark Jasiper AU
Pairings: Jeyna, Jasiper
A.N: Just four little drabbles I wrote from the same AU. They are respectively, Piper, Aphrodite, Reyna and Jason. Eh, I don't know if this is any good. It's a little past midnight here but I feel like if I don't put these out right now they'll never get out and there need to be more pjo dark aus.
This doesn't mean that I think this is canon. This labeled DARK AU which means that everything is much darker than canon.
Piper should have known that it wasn't real. Honestly, she should have. The way that Jason always looked so happy around her, eyes almost glazed over, that should have notified her. Given her a clue, a hint, a miniscule suspicion. She should have known that her charmspeak would do something like this; she'd been doing it subconsciously for years. She should have stopped it, and she supposed that she probably did notice it. She just didn't care enough to stop it.
She loved him, and she wanted him. It was wrong, but she just let herself float blissfully along because the truth was so dark, depressing, morbid. She loved him, but he didn't love her.
She held the power to make him love her.
And she did.
Aphrodite was a lover of love stories. She loved the fluffy ones with the happy endings, the dark and romantic ones where eventually they had some happiness, but mainly, the woman loved her tragic tales. A bit morbid, perhaps, but she loved the ones where everyone ended up hurt. When Hera swapped Jason Grace and Percy Jackson, she saw a beautiful opportunity. Originally, she was planning on giving Jason and Reyna an up-hill battle, but eventually, giving the pair happiness. Now, she had a real tale. Her daughter, a powerful Charmspeaker fell in love with the hero, and well, she wouldn't side against her own daughter, would she? She let her charmspeak the boy, because whether or not he loved her, Piper loved him. Aphrodite watched it unfold like a spectator at a gladiator battle, though she was munching popcorn the whole time. There was a reason that Aphrodite and Ares were lovers, they both reveled in the pain they brought, even to their own children.
Reyna knew what Piper was doing, she wasn't stupid. She'd lived on Circe's island; she knew charmspeak when she heard it. She knew the soothing tone quality. She saw how whenever the two would start to disagree, Piper would put a little more power into her words and Jason would melt into a little lovesick pile of goo. Reyna knew it, but there was nothing she could do. Obviously the gods were on Piper's side, as was everyone else. Who would believe the lonely praetor when she was up against a daughter of Venus powerful enough to talk Jason out of loving her? She'd talked Jason out of being himself, if he didn't have the same face, Reyna's sure that she wouldn't recognize Piper's prized creation as her beloved.
Sometimes, Jason knew what was going on. He'd get a brief glimpse from his past, a fleeting memory of Reyna, or a vague emotion. When he arrived on the bus that day, Jason Grace was a blank slate. Everything he once was, he was no longer. Piper built him up from the bottom in her own image of who he should be, her mist induced memories of him. Sometimes, when he's away from her, he can feel himself creeping back in, trying to claw free. The man he once was waits right under the surface, but he's not there for the world to see. The former praetor of Rome is bland and stoic because that's what Piper wants him to be, and Piper was his sculptor. He feels he'd escape her if he had the will, but sometimes, when he hears her beautiful when she speaks her declarations of love, he wonders if there's any place he'd rather be.
A.N: Um yeah, this exists. Enjoy.
