A/N: OMG! I saw the ending of Fruits Basket tonight! And let's just say, I ran off into the bathroom, and cried. It was so, so beautiful. Furuba is definitely one of the most heart-warming animes out there, and GAHH! I just had to write this one-shot, and get it out of my system. Because YukixTohru is so cute…and though there's only implied YukixTohru, and KyoxTohru in this, I think I'm going to have to make a YxT one-shot sometime. :P

This story is in Shigure's point of view, as he reflects on how much Tohru means to him, and everyone. Enjoy!

It's wonderful, really, to see such a genuine smile creep on his face at the sight of her. It makes a warm feeling spread throughout my body, knowing that he is beginning to heal, at last. Indeed, Tohru has changed all of us with her presence, and we have all realized this on our own, and we all embrace it.

After Master removed Kyo's beads, revealing his true form, the bond between Yuki, Tohru, and Kyo grew even stronger. I think now that it's impossible to sever the bonds that tie them together, because of the strength that runs through them. It makes me feel old, I realize, but I guess it's not too bad to age, when you can watch a younger generation mature and grow up. It's pleasant, and I wouldn't rather live out my life in another way. Not at all.

Yuki and Kyo, heaven forbid, are slowly becoming friends. It's an interesting thing to witness; watching them gradually remove the grudges that they had held against one another, and I know that they will soon be closer than ever. Tohru is, of course, over-joyed by this, and it's absolutely wonderful to that old familiar smile grace her features. If only I were just a few years younger….and I would definitely have her as my own.

However, Yuki and Kyo would definitely have my head on a platter, if I made a move on Tohru that was considered inappropriate. In a way, they're like two very protective older brothers…but I know that both feel more for her than that. Their reasons are private, and unknown to me, but they both love Tohru, as more than just the faithful companion she is. They LOVE her.

Tohru's oblivious. Or if she isn't, she has a good way of trying to remain neutral.

In my eyes, I see Yuki's love for Tohru as the most caring, and most tender. He loves her like they have been married for decades, like an old couple. It's sweet, and I know that he longs to tell her, and show her how he feels.

Kyo's love for Tohru is more a desperate, needy type of love. He needs her to feel joy, and without her, there's no sun in his sky. I know that he desperately wishes he could hold her for hours at a time, and tell her over and over how much he cares about her, but with the curse…..well….here I am, trailing off.

Actually….I think we ALL love Tohru. Every single person who encounters her is enchanted by her spell, I think. We fall blindly for her, and selfishly wish to be her only one. Tohru, however, is too sweet and innocent to really acknowledge this power she has…and I don't think she'll ever know how dear she is to all of us.

We all wish that we could tell her….that we could SHOW her…in some way…To show her that we need her. There's nothing without Tohru….Nothing.
