A/N: Just a quick little Star Wars drabble I threw together. I was inspired by the song "When It Rains" by Paramore.
A/N 2: Yes, I put five and a half months. In Star Wars the months are 35 days long each, and I assumed that the humans in Star Wars are pregnant for just as long as the ones in real life, but because Star Wars months are different it would therefore be about five to six months their time.
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars. It's pretty sad…
"Anakin, you're breaking my heart! You're going down a path I can not follow," Padmé said, not even bothering to hide how truly upset and scared she was anymore.
"Because of Obi-Wan?" Anakin fumed. Padmé could tell he was getting angry.
"Because of what you've done."
The story of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala was truly a tragic yet beautiful one. It involved a Jedi, a Senator, a risky illegal marriage, and a universe.
In ways you could compare their relationship to rain.
Their relationship built up gradually, involving flirtation and forbidden feelings. It started out slowly like the trickling of a beginning rain storm.
Soon it built up to a steady relationship (secretive, of course; a Jedi and a Senator could never have a romantic relationship), just like the pattern of steady rain.
Just like a rain storm that started to get heavier, their relationship started to become more serious and soon they were married. For three years they had a wonderful marriage. It came with challenges; they would go months at a tie without seeing each other. But in the end it was worth it.
And then everything had to change. Anakin had nightmares of Padmé dying during childbirth, and he knew he could never let that happen. It was at that point the booms of thunder started.
Soon the thunder got worse. Other things got worse. Life began to become dark, cloudy, and almost dangerous. Soon five and half months had passed and Padmé went into labor.
But when Padmé went into labor the clouds were black, the thunder was loud, and lightning was constantly striking. Anakin Skywalker was no more; he was Darth Vader. And Padmé died in childbirth, just like the power dies when a thunderstorm gets too horrible.
The story of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala was truly a tragic yet beautiful one.
