She danced with such wonder in her eyes or at least Sofia thought she did. Sofia never had the chance to see her dance but she imagines that Sara danced beautifully.

She could imagine it perfectly in her mind. Sara would move lightly, her feet almost not touching the ground. Her hair would surround her as she twirled around, almost like a dark halo.

She looked at her best when her hair was down. The hair would fall in her face and she would push it behind her ear, only to have it fall back in her face a couple moments later.

Sara's eyes shone brightly when she had a lead. She would smile and she would rush off to see Grissom.

When Sofia was transferred to the Graveyard shift, one of the first things she learned was the relationship between Grissom and Sara or lack there of.

You had to be blind not to notice.

Sofia couldn't help but feel slightly disheartening about the whole situation. She had her heart set on Sara after all.

Not that had ever stopped any woman from reaching her goal. So Sofia was hardly going to give up.

Besides maybe all Sara needed was some convincing and Sofia was quite good at convincing people. After all she had been a detective before the all CSI jig.

Besides if she went back to being detective and be with Sara in a blink of an eye, no raised eyebrows or anything. There was no specific rule saying two co-workers couldn't work together but it was common fact that would get messy, hence it was usually frowned upon.

Supervisor's dating a co-worker now that was another story entirely, that was like playing with knives, you were just waiting to get caught.

Someone would always squeal on you and that would be their gain and you're loss. Also you would find yourself out of a job. It would be like a stain on a record because, everyone seemed to know.

Detectives didn't have this problem, so Sofia had no stain record or someone to tell on her to worry about. All she had to worry about was convincing Sara to look in the same direction she was looking in and that was a feat in itself really.
