Chapter 1

My sad choice

Raine walked in the house happily. Being engaged with Yuan again was a feeling that she loved and missed. She sat down on the couch. But then she realized someone was crying. She immediately turned around. She saw Collette crying. And then she saw Genis looking depressed and sad at the same time. And Sheena was sitting on the steps looking sad as well.

"What's wrong guys? What's going on?" Raine said confused.

Collette stood up. "It's not fair! Why all of the sudden?! I just don't get it anymore!" She ran up the stairs.

Raine was more confused. "Someone tell me what the heck is going on"

Genis looked up. "They took him. The damn solders took him away because they needed people for the stupid war!!!"

Raine just stood there taking that one thing in…

A while ago she saw her past lover in the news. There was a war between the sides of the united worlds. The conflict between them caused the sides to grab every able man and put them into war. But at that time she didn't care because the general of Sylverant was Yuan. He was giving a speech and was talking about needing every able person. But she didn't pay attention to that. She wanted to see him again. She wanted to hold him…

She eventually signed him up because she wanted some connection with him. She signed Lloyd up…How she dreads the day of her selfishness.

Flash Back

Raine looked at the high tech computer security system. And with ease she pressed a few numbers and walked in like nothing ever happened. She could see Yuan ordering solders to do warm-ups. He sent them to do laps. She couldn't help herself she ran to him and fell into his arms.

"I've miss you so much." Raine said holding on to him like life itself.

"I've missed you too, but what are you doing here?" Yuan said with love and confusion in his voice.

"I've come to see you. It's been two years." Raine said letting go of him.

She saw that he had a ring on his left middle finger. But it was the ring. The ring he gave to her when he proposed. She still had the ring as well. But it was on her right hand. Years ago they got in a fight about Raine's health she was coughing blood. He told her to go to the doctors but she kept saying that she was fine. And it went on until he got tired and left. She eventually had to go to the doctors because it got serious. She regretted that day.

She smiled and looked at him. "You still have your ring."

Yuan looked a little sad. "Yeah I do…"

She smiled and took her ring from her right hand and put it to her left ring finger.

Yuan just looked at her. "Does this mean…"

"Yes, and I'm sorry about before please forgive me."

"Of course I will" And with that he kissed her.

Then a solder walked over. And put his hand to his head with a salute.

"Sir the new shipments of solders has arrived, Sir."

Yuan looked up. "Alright then." He looked back down at Raine. "I have to leave now but." He put his ring on his left ring finger. And he kissed her and walked off.

She smiled and stared at him walking away. And she saw him talk to some of the new solders. She noticed someone who looked really similar to Lloyd. But she didn't care at the time…

End flashback…

Raine walked up the stairs to Collette's room and opened the door to see her crying.

"Common Collette we're going."

She looked up. "Where?"

"We're going to find Lloyd"
