Once Upon a Time
Kura: With the new year, comes a bunch of new fics! And updates. I hope to finish a few stories this month. I'm writing another fic, which will be similar to this, but not completely. Explanations for things happen in future chapters.
Sakura: Pairings are yet to be decided. Enjoy the first chapter.
Chapter 1: The Deal
"That's not fair!"
"We didn't do anything!"
"Yeah, it was all Jack!"
"Hey!"
"ENOUGH!" Elinor snapped. The foursome before her flinched. Jack twisted her white hair, Hicca stared at the ground, Rapunzel bit her lips and Merida glared at nothing. Elinor sighed, she knew she wanted Merida to have friends, but trouble always gound Hicca and Jack was trouble. Rapunzel she approved of. They have been playing the blame game since Jack arrived to the school with her sister. Jack was fourteen and her sister would be seven in a few months. Emma was shy to people she met, but would warm up to them quickly. Jack was the real issue, she craved attention, yet feared interaction with other people. It was only by meeting Rapunzel did she open up more... and get into trouble. Jack's birth was in December, on the 21st, while Emma's was on March 12. Both were now residence in Guardians Academy, which was owned by Manuel Ivan Moon. Elinor took care of the students that lived in it. Among them, her daughter Merida.
"Merida, I expected more from you. All of ye are in big trouble, cutting curfew, making a mess in the kitchens and ruining the laundry all in one night?! Ye know what, I will forgive ye, if, ye do charity for the day care a few blocks away."
Merida groaned. Her brothers went to that day care, it was called Fate Bears and was owned by a very weird old lady...
"Okay." DAMN IT HICCA! "But, we have to get help from others, we'll have a sign up sheet, uh... what are we doing?"
"Wow Hic..."
"Shut it Jack."
"Yer doing fairy tales."
"I beg your pardon, fairy tales?"
"Aye, ye know, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel-"
"Yes?"
"Not you dear, but I can see the confusion. Fairy tales that ye've read as a child. You're going to perform a few. Do that, and I won't punish ye. Deal?"
"Deal."
"HICCA!"
"Oh hush, I will see ye tomorrow. Now off to bed."
Merida punched Hicca and the brunette whined as she rubbed her abused arm. Rapunzel was talking to Jack, who actually seemed excited about this task at hand. Merida sighed. When she entered Guardians Academy at the age of ten, that was seven years ago, she never thought she'd make friends. But then she met Hicca...
FLASHBACK!
Merida sighed as she walked through the halls of GA. She hated the school. It was full of wannabes and big babies.
"GIVE IT BACK! I NEED THAT!" A girl cried. Merida, outta curiousity, headed towards the source. She saw two boys, a blond and a dark haired boy, tossing what looked like a... a leg? What?
"SNOTLOUT! TUFFNUT! PLEASE GIVE IT BACK!" A girl cried. She was on the ground, missing a leg.
Merida wasn't stupid. She could add two and two. "OI! GIVE HER BACK THAT LEG!"
The boys turned to her and snorted. "Oh yeah," the dark haired one scoffed, "what are you gonna do if I don't Ging- ACK!"
Merida glared at him as she twisted his arm, "Give. It. Back. Now..."
The blond handed over the leg with a shaking hand. The girl looked at Merida oddly. She put on the prosthetic leg and got up.
"Uh...thanks... I'm Hicca." The girl smiled and held out a hand. Merida stared at it. "Uh...you shake it..."
Merida shook her head and took the gir- no, Hicca's , hand and shook it, "I'm Merida."
"I'm sure this the start of a beautiful friendship Merida!"
END FLASHBACK!
And she was right, they had been friends since that day...
