That night, when Eddie finally moved out and Joey moved back in, Chandler really didn't want to go to sleep. It was like he hadn't seen Joey for a long time and they needed to catch up on some stuff. Basically, the running at the beach and the foosball, but it was still a lot.

After he helped Joey unpack some of his stuff they drank beer, played foosball and generally talk.

Chandler felt really happy and at peace.

When he finally got to go to bed, he was tousling and turning for almost an hour, fighting that huge grin that could split his face in half and finally fell asleep with his face smashed into the pillow.

As always, he woke up in the middle of the night, only to find Joey sitting by his bed, watching him, just like Eddie did and just like Monica did.

And normally, he would freak out, shriek and yell at the intruder. Yet somehow, he didn't. He liked to have Joey by his side.

"Sorry man, didn't want to scare you," Joey said and smiled sheepishly. "I just... You know, there was nobody else in a, uh, you know, that... apartment. And it's you here. I figure, it's cool to live with a roommate, you know," he rambled. "With... you," he added, a blush spreading across his cheeks. He shrugged nervously. "Makes me feel safe."

Chandler should've flinched or freak out, because Eddie told him a similar thing that night. When he did it, it was creepy, spooky and disgusting.

When Joey said it? It felt like home.
