A/N: Based on My Little Girl by Tim McGraw. Told in George Juergens' (Amy's dad) POV. Read, Review, and Enjoy!
Summary: Amy and Ben are getting married. They have both graduated from college. Her little girl is eight. Anne and George have not separated. This is going to be a one-shot (at least for now).
Disclaimer: I do not own this magnificent series, but I do own this plot and Katie Juergens (Amy's baby).
Amy smiled at me from across the bride's room at the church.
I smiled back, letting her know that I love her, and always will.
Her white gown fell to the floor, hiding her matching shoes. "How do I look Daddy?" She asked admiring the intricate pattern of the strapless dress.
I walked over to my little girl, and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Beautiful, absolutely beautiful." I looked at the reflection of the woman standing in front of me. "I love you Amy."
I walked into the reception hall with Anne and Ashley and Katie. We followed Amy and Ben in, and then sat down at the table reserved for the new couple and immediate family. There was some soft music playing in the background, and the lights were turned down low. I smiled to Anne, and squeezed her hand as we sat down.
Once all the guests had arrived, Amy and Ben got up for their song. They made their way to the center of the wooden dance floor. When Always and Forever came on, they gazed into each other's eyes and were lost in the intimate moment of the two of them.
And I know tomorrow will still be the same. Cos' we've got a life of love that won't ever change.
Amy's smile spread across her face as Ben led her around in circles.
"I love you Amy," Ben whispered in her ear.
"I love you too Ben."
I'll always love you, forever, forever.
I glanced over to my right, and saw that Anne had tears in her eyes as she watched our eldest daughter. "It's not over Anne," I whispered. "It's going to be okay."
She nodded, and wiped the tears from her eyes. "I know. It's just that I used to be enough for her, and now…." She trailed off, her eyes following the two of them around the dance floor. "And now look at her."
I rubbed her back, hoping to make her feel better. "I know. She means the world to me too, but it's time to let go. It's time."
When the song had ended, they both made their way back over to us.
Later that evening, after everyone had eaten dinner, and danced for a while, it was time for the speeches.
"I would like to make a speech," I stated, standing up, holding uo my champagne glass. "I knew from the moment that I saw the two of you together that it was only a matter of time. Ben, I prayed that Amy would find a guy like you someday, and she has. However, she is still my little girl, so be careful with her. And Amy. Don't forget that I will always, always love you!" To Amy and Ben!"
"To Amy and Ben," everyone repeated, raising their glasses and taking a drink.
"Is it time for cake yet?" Katie asked.
"Yes, Katie. It is time for cake," Ashley replied, taking her niece's hand and leading her over to the cake table.
We all watched as Ben and Amy took the knife, and cut two slices into the three-tiered cake. They each took one, and then fed each other the moist, chocolate cake covered with vanilla frosting and red hearts.
(A/N: Thank you for reading my first Secret Life of the American Teenager fanfic. I'm hoping to make this into a story, but at the moment, I have two stories going (Ryan and Justine and When There Was Me And You). Also, in the works, I have the sequel to Ryan and Justine, and The Snack Bar, and now this. Hopefully sometime, I can find the time to update these stories… But, in the meantime, have a great day!)
