I had finally done it. I had created the universe. The joy of seeing my creation finally finished was overwhelming. Everything was perfect. The galaxies were spinning around in the great nothingness where I had hung them. The stars orbited the enormous black holes that bound the galaxies together. Innumerable planets orbited around their respective stars. The moons orbited their planets. Animals were playing in their natural environment. Everything was perfect. It was perfect for my finest creations. I took the dust from a planet I named Earth and made a Man. He was strong, tall, and kind. Everything I made him to be. For his equal, I made a Woman, tall, beautiful, and gentle. For thousands of years they prospered and cared for the land I gave them. Then they ruined it.

Two of my children, Gaia and Ouranos, joined and brought forth some of the worst creatures I could ever imagine, the Titans. The Titans rebelled against me, enslaving my beautiful creations. It tore me apart that Man and Woman were treated worse than the dirt from which I made them. They brought gifts to the Titans and were enslaved if the gift was acceptable. They were destroyed if the gift was not. The Titans did not even care for their own children. Kronos, Titan of Time, ate his offspring to prevent them from overthrowing him. All the while, I watched and waited for my Champion to return the world to its perfection.

I knew that my creation would not survive with Kronos, and it broke my heart. I formed a thought in Rhea's, Kronos' wife, mind. I told her to save her youngest son, Zeus, from Kronos wrath. I told her she could not live without her children. She hid Zeus and gave Kronos a rock to eat. Kronos, in his arrogance, did not notice a thing. My plan was working.

I watched Zeus grow into a powerful young man. The power of the air was at his fingertips. The winds blew and the storms raged at his command. Yet, I waited for my Champion.

Finally, I knew it was time. Quickly, I found Zeus, and whispered to him in his dreams. I told him of his brothers and sisters, trapped inside Kronos. I told him he could save them if he fed Kronos a potion made with wine and mustard. When Zeus awoke, he went to his mother and told her what he wanted to do. She was saddened but agreed to help him. The start of the new year marked the pilgrimage to Mount Othrys, to bring gifts to Kronos. I watched Zeus travel in disguise. As Kronos accepted Zeus' gift, I waited. Kronos drank deeply from the potion and, almost immediately, he regurgitated all he had eaten. A river of partially digested food was expelled from his mouth, along with five figures. Zeus gathered his siblings and ran. As I watched as Zeus cared for his two brothers and three sisters, slowly nursing them back to health, I still waited for my Champion.

Zeus gathered an army of Cyclopes, giants, and Hecatonchires to fight against Kronos. I took a remnant of the humans not destroyed by the Titans and had them build a boat large enough to house them and the animals of the world. For ten years, Zeus and his army marched against the Titans. The Titans were winning. In the final year, I caused storms stronger than the world has ever seen or ever will see, giving Zeus the power to defeat Kronos. The only humans to survive were on the boat. Zeus and his siblings built themselves a palace on Mount Olympus. They raised themselves up as rulers over the world. Yet, I still waited for my Champion.

Now, thousands of years later, the humans have forgotten the gods. They have forgotten me. They turn to their Science to explain their world. The Science I made for them. But they do not understand it.
The gods will have children with the humans sometimes, and the demigods will fight the gods' wars. Recently, I watched a powerful demigod singlehandedly defeat Kronos. Perhaps there is a small chance that I have found my Champion.
