The city normally so vibrant, was wreathed in grey mourning. Hundreds had gathered in front of the small chapel.
/There is nothing but silence now/
A full lineup of heroes stood vigilant to watch over the procession.

Along the outer walls of the chapel a massive memorial had been set up, thousands of photos and gifts had been left in memory of him.
/Is this our farewell?/
All gathered to honor the memory of the hero who had given it all in the line of duty.

Clint talked about his kindness and how it had affected everyone around him.

Natasha spoke of how impressed she had been of his agility and determination to do right.

Thor spoke of the bond between shield brothers and how brave he was.

Steve talked about how talented he had been in everything he applied himself to.
/How can the world just carry on?/
Tony of the first time he had worked in the lab as an intern and the fun times they had.

Gwen gave a choked account of their first date, and how he had had no idea he was supposed to wear a suit for dinner.

Aunt May listened to all of the stories with a sad smile. She had known for a long time what kept him out late and brought him home again covered in bruises.

The world lost a great man the day Peter Parker was killed in action as he defended his city.
