Congratulations!

Lisa is finishing the last report of the night when she hears it. The persistent annoying thuds that foreshadow that a sneaky ego-raging sociopath is on his way to ruin her already shitty day.

Before she even has the chance to kill the light in a lame attempt to hide herself, the door bursts open and the nightmare of every sane employer walks in, a bag in his hand.

"So, I heard you killed a patient today. Congratulations!"

"I am not in the mood for your wicked jokes. Actually, I am on my way home." Says Cuddy resolutely yet House is already dropping his lazy ass right onto her couch.

"You cannot leave now!" He half-shouts in mock-shock. "I brought Champagne!" With that, he extracts a bottle of Scotch and two plastic cups out of the bag.

"Well, as much as I would appreciate hanging out with a lonely and pathetic churl like yourself, I gotta go." She starts stuffing her bag with various papers, taking several files into her hands, ready to leave.

"C'mon Cuddy, don't break the party! Besides, driving while being sober isn't nearly as much fun!" House says before sending her a conspirational wink.

"Yeah, because an arrest for DUI is much more fun." She snaps back and about to grab her car keys, yet they are not on the table where she left them. A chill creeps up her neck. She turns to House, who is now the impersonation of innocence.

"Where are my car keys?" She demands in fury.

"Hmm…I have no idea." Says House thoughtfully, putting a finger on his lower lip dramatically. "But I have a feeling that if you join me for a late supper in the hospital's disgusting canteen, you will be more successful in finding them." He finishes before sending her a wink he believes is charming. Well, it's not.

Cuddy sighs angrily, wondering what object in the room would serve best as a potential weapon she could struck him with while make it look like an accident. In the end, she gives up. It's not like anybody's waiting at home for her.

"Whatever." She bellows into his face already on her way to the door. House jumps surprisingly quickly out of his spot and quickly limps behind her.

"Excellent!" He gives her a cheeky grin while she locks up. "Oh, and by the way, your treat."

She merely rolls her eyes, closing the door behind her with a distinctive clink and ponders whether she better should have hailed a cab.
