A/N: Yeah, I know, It's retarded, but I was bored plus, there's been talk lately about Horatio being paired with his sunglasses. Since Yelina is pre-occupied with Ole'Stettie, and Ray coming into the picture- H&Y's future just doesn't look that great right now...
And for further refrence, this story accommodates my own sense of humor, if it appeals to you, great, but if it doesn't that's OK, too. Since I know God didn't send me to this earth for everyone to like me, all reveiws are welcome! The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Horatio Caine walked down the sandy beach on his way to an active crime scene. As the bright Miami sun peeked over the endless horizon of water, he couldn't help but think, no matter how beautiful the sunrise could be, nothing was more beautiful than his sunglasses
He valuedhis shadesmore than anything. He knew they wouldn't backstab him or cheat on him, they would out live any human, and he could rely on then more than anyone in his life, and best of all, no matter what happened, they would always be on his face, helping him fight crime for the greater good of Miami.
He hated to take them off to look over a crime scene. But sooner, or later he would enjoy putting them back on after he said his ever-so-famous catch phrase.
They were his for eternity. And he was theirs.
He loved them, and he hoped they loved him.
He knew people thought he was obsessed with them, in a way he was, but he didn't care what other people thought.
Because the world didn't revolve around them.
It revolved around his sunglasses.

"Horatio, baby ? You OK? Are you in some kind of trance?" Alexx Woods asked him curiously. "We got a DB and whole beach to look over, and I just can't do it by myself."
" I'm sorry Alexx, I was just thinking." He reluctantly took his sunglasses off.
"Well save your thinking for another day, 'cause we got work to do here!" Alexx said matter-of-factly.
"You're right Alexx." He paused for a minute," Because here in Miami," He put his sunglasses on,"We never close."
