Sweet Magic

by lenne18

February 14.

Valentine's Day.

Deep in the Forest of Magic, two magicians are busy working.

"Papapara para papa~"

Alice hums as she tied a large, red sack at the end of Marisa's broom.

"Alice, that song got stuck in your head," Marisa said. "Maybe you'll dance to it next time."

"As if!"

A sudden pause. Marisa smiled at Alice and then, both of them giggled.

"Ready to go, Marisa?"

"Yup!"

Reimu Hakurei is busy sweeping the front of the shrine when suddenly...

*THUD*

"Ouch!"

Reimu rubbed her head. She looked up to see Marisa and Alice flying away with a large, red sack behind them.

'Are they playing Santa Claus? It's too late for that now...'

She looked around for the thing that hit her. She noticed a small box.

"What's this doing here?"

SHe examined the box. It was wrapped in red paper with a gold ribbon. It was beautifully crafted.

'Alice made the packaging...'

She opened the box. Two chocolate bonbons are inside. She picked one and examined it. It was carefully made. She popped it in her mouth. It was delicious.

'And Marisa made the contents...'

Overall, the box is well-made. You could tell that it was made with love.

"Stupid couple..." Reimu said. She shook her head while smiling.

Marisa and Alice continued flying around Gensokyo, dropping gifts everywhere they go.

Some are hit by the boxes. Some are amazed. Some are too stupid to care.

But everyone can agree on one thing.

The couple is sharing their overflowing love for each other with the rest of Gensokyo...

And it is sickeningly sweet.

"That's the last of them," Marisa said as she threw the last contents of the sack below.

"Not quite," Alice replied. She took out a box from behind her. The box is wrapped in black with a white ribbon.

Marisa blushed. She tilted her hat down as she accepted the chocolate.

"Thank you..."

Alice smiled. Suddenly, something soft pressed upon her lips. She closed her eyes and savored the moment.

The couple hovered in the air, eyes closed and kissing, with the orange sun setting behind them.
