Candy Boy

Valentine's Day.

Snow falls on the streets outside the cake shop.

A girl and a boy are busy working inside the shop, dealing with the huge amount of customers buying chocolate.

The girl has long, light brown hair. She is short in stature and her eyes are brown. She has a light complexion. In other words, she looks beautiful. However, underneath the beauty lies a dangerous and ferocious tiger. Her name is Taiga Aisaka.

The boy has short, blue hair. He looks plain, in comparison with his partner except for his eyes. His eyes glared at everyone else like a delinquent picking out its victim. However, he is a kind person to those who know him. His name is Ryuuji Takasu.

They couldn't be any more different than each other. But due to their past bizarre relationship, they started getting closer to another until somebody fell. And since then, they have always loved each other.

Ryuuji and Taiga are a couple. No... More than that, they are engaged.

"Thanks for your hard work," the owner said. "Here's your pay."

He handed them an envelope each.

"Thank you," Ryuuji said as he and Taiga bowed.

"No worries! Next year, I would like to have your help again, okay?"

The two of them nodded. Pleased with their responses, the owner turned his back and returned to his office.

Ryuuji and Taiga walked out through the streets. The streets are covered in snow, just like the year before.

'Come to think of it,' Ryuuji thought. 'It's our anniversary...'

Taiga was looking at the falling snow. Ryuuji looked at Taiga. Her face is filled with amazement.

"Are you free today, Taiga?"

"Huh?" Taiga paused. "Yes. Why?"

"Come with me for a moment."

Taiga nodded in assurance. She cocked her head to one side as if trying to figure out what Ryuuji is thinking.

She shook her train of thoughts as she held her boyfriend's hand through streets and small alleys.

"Aah!" Taiga exclaimed. "This place is..."

"Yeah... This is the place where we first kissed."

Ryuuji smiled at Taiga.

'The place looks the same as it was a year ago. A lot has happened on this day a year ago. We ran away from our mothers, who only wants to support us. We confessed our love to one another.'

Ryuuji smiled.

'Taiga punched me after for saying stupid things. And then she pushed me into the river.'

Ryuji giggled.

"What's so funny?" Taiga asked.

"I just remembered that you pushed me into the river."

"That was an accident!"

Taiga started poking Ryuuji on the face.

"Okay! Just stop that!"

Taiga stopped and smirked.

Ryuuji composed himself. He looked at Taiga and smiled. As Taiga caught his sight, she smiled too.

"Happy anniversary."

Taiga hugged Ryuuji.

"I love you, Taiga."

"I love you too, Ryuuji."

They kissed under the falling snow. Unlike their first kiss, this one is sweet and perfect. This is bliss. This is...

*CLICK*

'A shutter sound? But we are alone, right?'

They immediately broke their kiss. They were surprised by who they saw.

"Bakachi!"

"Kawashima!"

Ami Kawashima, a teenage model and their friend, stood before them. A cellphone, probably one of those with a built-in camera, is in her hand.

"Don't mind me. Just continue."

"Like hell, we would!" Taiga angrily said. "Delete that picture. NOW!"

"No," Ami said as she stuck her tongue out. She then ran away from Taiga as fast as she could.

Taiga ran in pursuit.

Ryuuji smiled at his girlfriend.

They may have grown up but some things will never change.
