The Hopeless Quest

It's a short poem that almost sums up some major themes of Antigone through only a few lines. I know it's not the best, but I was itching to write this. I hope you like it!

This is a tale of

love and hate,

of loyalty and civil disobedience,

of modesty and hubris,

and of despair and demise-

the tale of how life should be honored,

no matter how evil it is in nature;

the tale of how isolation kills relationships,

whether that isolation is

mentally or

physically from others.

It's a tale of people

hunting for dreams and desires

out of their reach.

"You're off on a hopeless quest!"

Indeed they are,

and that's what causes

death to play

a major part

in Realizing the Truth.
