Baa Baa, White Sheep. This one was tricky, because Bo wasn't there. The balladeer claims he's off for a weekend of training in the Marine Corps Reserves. Which meant this one couldn't possibly take place within the confines of the episode

"Boss has a twin," Luke interrupts him, and that's just ridiculous. For as much as Luke always tries to keep Bo from talking about the Marine Reserves (hadn't even wanted Bo to join up – the only thing standing between you and World War III is some fool stunt, some crazy threat, someone pushing the wrong button Luke had warned him. You don't want to go to war, cousin, you don't – Bo cut him off before he could say the part about how he didn't have any idea how bad war could be. He has something of an idea, he saw Luke come back from one – a rubber band pulled tight and about to snap. But Bo can handle fighting as well as Luke, and the only thing that had kept him from going right into the military was the fact that Jesse needs him at the farm), making up some wild tale about identical Hoggs is just – childish.

"Dang it, Luke." Oh, there it is, his temper, he isn't supposed to give in to that. What is it Drill Instructor Septer keeps telling him? Control it, use it to your advantage, don't give in or you'll make a tactical mistake that could get you killed. Then again, Luke's a rude bastard for interrupting him like that. "You ain't gotta go to go telling some cock and bull story just to get out of telling me you missed me."

Now that's just funny, that look on Luke's face, mouth closed down so hard his lips fade to white, eyes half squinted and staring at him, maybe deciding exactly the best way to point out that Bo's an idiot.

"Admit it," Bo goads, because Luke's too busy swallowing his own lips to say anything. "You missed me."

Oh, Luke has no intention of admitting to anything, except being (distantly) related to the brainless wonder known as Bo Duke.

"Missed you—" he starts to sputter-ask, and Bo snatches the moment.

"I missed you, too, cuz." Before Luke can snort out a rebuttal, Bo snakes out an arm, catches Luke off-guard with a one-armed squeeze. And is surprised when it turns into a full out hug, Luke running broad fingers into the hair at the back of his head. Bo responds without thinking, a kiss to Luke's temple.

"Forgot to tell you," Luke says pulling back just enough to catch his eye. "I drove the General through a brick wall." Luke kisses him full on the lips then, and lets him go.
