LongWei Wei
I was shaking, my palms are sweaty, my legs are closed. I hate that it this was my fate, from class 3-C to 3-E. I heard rumors about the campus and the students there and none of them were positive. What did I do to deserve this? Fail midterms.
"Longwei Wei..." chairman Asano read my name on a sheet of paper "you failed your midterms I see but your teachers also complain about your bad Japanese, both in speaking and writing."
"I've only been in Japan for two years." I said "I'm not used to the Japanese language yet but I'll get better I promise!" I pleaded.
"Empty promises will get you nowhere." chairman Asano said "I learned 3 languages in the span of 1 month yet you cannot master 1 language in 2 years."
"They different times!" I replied. I realized what I said and try to correct myself "I mean..." I tried to get my bearing together but I see chairman Asano's cold stare.
"I'm sorry but I'll have to transfer you to class E starting tomorrow." He finished writing something on the piece of paper, my student profile. "There will be a teacher that will fetch you and bring you to the class E campus."
"I..." my voice was shaky, I wanted to cry but it would show that I was weak "...understand." I gave up to put it simply, there was nothing I could use as rebuttal.
"You are dismissed." Chairman Asano said as he watches me leave his office.
The only emotion I felt was despair, utter despair. I will be an outcast by tomorrow and I don't know how I'll survive. Then again all I heard about Class E are just rumora, there might actually be a bright side to this?
The rest of the day I hear whispers about my transfer, somewhere along the lines of "erased him from my contacts." and "sorry dude, we can't do anything about it." I don't want to talk about my home situation.
The next day a man in black is on the gate of the school. I remember seeing this man with the other class E students during the assembly, he must be a teacher for them.
"Longwei Wei?" he asked aa if that's my name. I nodded confirming that it is my name. "Good, let's talk about a situation while we walk up." he said.
As we journey up the mountain he brings out a green knife. I couldn't help but be startled by the reveal "Sir, why do you have a knife?" I asked.
"Class E is tasked with killing a monster that also pose as their teacher." he explained "the knife can't harm humans but it can harm your teacher, Koro sensei, as the students call him."
"Why must we kill him?" I asked "And do we have a deadline?"
"Yes, you must kill him before graduation or else he'll destroy the Earth." he said "We know he is capable of doing that because he was the one who caused the obliteration of 70% of the moon."
That shocked me, the moon obliteration was sudden then here I am, a student to the culprit of the obliteration. "What will I get out of the murder?" I asked.
"We prefer the term assassination." he said "but you'll get 1,000,000,000 yen if you are able to assassinate him."
"1,000,000,000 yen?" I exclaimed "What's with this guy? He destroyed the moon and has a huge bounty on his head and decided to become a teacher to a bunch of teenagers going through puberty."
"We don't know his motives yet, that's all I could say." he simply said "I'll be your P.E. teacher, call me Karasuma-sensei. We have a foreign assassin as your english teacher and the rest goes to the octopus." he explained.
"Octopus?" I asked before a gust of wind cut my journey to the top.
"Get him!" students shouted in unison holding poles with knives on each end and pistols as they chase the cause of the wind.
"I'm sorry! Look I'll buy another cake!" the creature pleaded as it dodges the knives and... Bbs?
"it's too late now!" a girl with green hair and pigtails said "He's here!" she said pointing at me. she turns to me looking at my attire "We're suppose to have a cake but Koro sensei ate it, I'm sorry."
"The cake was not needed." I replied "I am just confusion at that thing." I said pointing at the yellow creature with tentacles.
"That's Koro sensei." she replied "Did Karasuma-sensei gave you the run down on what we do?" she asked.
"I did." karasuma-sensei replied. "Now go inside, homeroom is about to start and you're wasting your energy killing the octopus." he said as we walks inside the building.
"My name is Kayano Kaede!" she introduced herself "Do you know anyone else here?" she asked.
"Justice-san was my classmate before he fell to E class." I recalled, I try to recall if anyone else I know also fell.
"I see..." she said "Justice..." she mutters to herself as if she's remembering something "Anyway, you'll be sitting beside Karma-san!"
"Karma Akabane?" I asked "I heard plenty rumors about him, none of them positive."
"he may be a sadist but..." kayano-san stopped as she tries to thibk of something "Yeah he's sadistic." Wow, she really gave up.
In homeroom I write my name in chinese. It's weird but I haven't found the japanese writing for it so I stuck to my chinese writing. "I transfer from China two years ago so I'm not good in speaking writing japanese." I said "speaking OR writing!" I quickly correct myself.
"Well it's good that you're with us Wei-san!" koro sensei cheered "Let's see... you'll sit beside Karma-kun." He said.
"Okay..." I replied walking to a vacant seat beside him. I was nervous sitting beside Karma because of the rumors I heard but for the most part he stayed quiet.
English time and Karasuma-sensei wasn't kidding when he says our english teacher is a foreigner. "So, I heard we have a new student." she said "It won't change the flow of the class anyway." she shrugged as she writes something in english on the board. "New kid." she called out "Read this sentence."
"Why wun't you cum inside*." I read, from the look of the teacher it sounded terrible. "Did I say it wrong?" I asked, hopefully she doesn't give a beat down.
A/N=spoken in English =spoken in another language
A guy from Toronto asked me that, just a bit of history lesson." she informed us but it seemed unnecessary "I get the bad pronounciation but kid this is a question, you should have a different tone." she said "Let's try that again shall we?*" she said in a very seductive manner "See how I used it? You're first attempt is as if it was a statement rather than a question, let's try again."
"Why won't yu cum insad?*" I retried altough it must have been much worse than my first attempt.
"Better." She simply said "Altough, you should work on your pronounciation." she instructed "Now..." she turned back to the board and write V-I-C. "Pronounce this."
"B•tch." I replied. The chalk on her hand snapped in half and it startled half the class.
"I guess it doesn't matter..." she said in a defeated tone "You japanese will never differentiate v from b..."
"I'm Chinese." I reluctantly corrected before sitting down. I was panicking, why did I do that? Was it even necessary? I'm gonna die.
"Whatever..." she sighed erasing the sentenves she wrote "Let's start roll call." she simply said "Kimura." she started which is sort of strange for all of us to call by seating arrangement.
By the end of school I looked at the notes I took, not a lot from B•tch sensei and are mostly from Koro sensei's subject.
"Hey, Wei..." A familiar voice called out. I turned my head to see my spiky dark green haired classmate, Justice "We're from the same neighborhood right? Let's take the same train, sounds good?" he asked.
"Sure..." I replied "Let's get there before the train arrive." I simply said before walking to the door and leaving the campus, Justice trailing behind me.
Self reflection time, it was tense but it isn't as bad as the rest of the main campus described. I liked the teachers and at least there is one other student I know as my classmate. With the whole assassination ordeal I wonder what comes next for tomorrow.
