Hope you enjoy. :) Please review... I would really appreciate it!
Everything belongs to JKR not me...
It was chilly at the Burrow one June evening. The mood at home was sort of dismal. Dumbledore had just been killed and Bill had just gotten out of the hospital. It was, in a few words, a very eventful year.
"OI! Ron get over here!" George whispered to his younger brother who was sitting in the kitchen.
"What? What'd I do now?" Ron quickly ran to the staircase, unhappily putting down his food.
"Just wanted to pass along a book to our favorite little brother." Fred said while handing Ron a brown wrapped package.
"Why'd you get me a bloody book? You know I won't read it."
"I don't know Freddie," George exclaimed while ripping the book back out of Ron's hands, "Reckon he doesn't deserve it. See here Ronniekins. I didn't want to give this to you; thought you couldn't handle it, but Fred here thinks it's about time you and Granger get together. So hereā¦"
Ron ripped the book out of George's hand as fast as he could. He ripped the brown paper to reveal Twelve Fail-Safe Ways to Charm Witches. Ron could tell the book was a hand-me-down (what did he ever get that wasn't somebody else's first?).
"You think I need a stupid book like this to help me win Hermi- not that I'm trying to, you know, win her over or anything." Ron's cheeks started to turn red at this point.
Fred and George burst into laughter, unable to control themselves.
"Don't disrespect the book!" Fred yelled at his younger brother, "This book is genius. How do you think I got Angelina to go to the Yule Ball with me?"
"You got everything from a bloody book?" Ron really couldn't believe his smooth older brothers, who barely passed their O.W.L.s, got their advice on girls from a book.
"So you really think this'll help me get with you-know-who?" Ron asked his voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't know if Voldemort's exactly your type Ronniekins, but you can always keep on trying."
"SHUT THE BLOODY HELL UP GEORGE!" Ron yelled so everyone in the Burrow could hear him. He was immediately forced to apologize since his mother had overheard them.
"'Course it'll help. You've got no game anyway. Bet there's tons of stuff in here Hermione'll fall for. Even if they're coming from you. When've we ever been wrong?" Fred asked while still laughing at his twin's earlier joke.
"Too many times to count. But I guess, for once, you might actually be right. Thanks guys!" Ron exclaimed as he ran up the staircase to the attic. Food could wait; he was gonna learn how to impress Hermione even if it was the last thing he ever did.
