Ch. 1-The Raven's Arrival

The meadows around Kaede's village were calm, as if the wind had ceased itself forever. The sun was covered by some dark abyss, and there was but one soul outside in the meadow of the bone eater's well.

Her indigo hair flowed like mercury over her shoulders, still and straight with the lack of wind. Emerald eyes stared at the magic well, searing hatred with all of her soul. The raven wings sprouting from her back announced her clearly as a youkai.

"Damn the girl…And damn her friends! They will pay for the death of my father…" She tore her gaze from the confined deapths of the well, glaring at the sky itself. It was as if she lived only for her revenge.

Her father had been a kind ruler of the raven youkai, and his followers always looked to him in praise. But he hanyou, InuYasha, came to there mountain home, seeking power. He slottered her father when his back was turned, simply to use his blood to strengthen his Tessaiga.

"Selfish…All of them, selfish!" She spread her black wings, lifting into the air. She wouldn't be able to fight in the conditon she was in. She had to get a hold of her emotions.

Glancing to the ground below, she the raven saw something. 'Silver hair?' she thought. "InuYasha…" She drew the katana from from her waist, the blade shining red from it's garnet blade. "Die, you fool!" She dove, her blade drawn back, ready to strike.

Just before her blade made its steely contact, the man she thought to be InuYasha turned, parrying her blade with his own. 'No. He's not who I seek." True, the hair was the same, but his face and aura were different.

She jumped back, on her feet, and watched the man. "You. You're a full youkai. But your blood is the same…"

The man raised one eyebrow, but otherwise looked uninterested. "You're in my way. Move, or I shall kill you." He kept the same monotone voice he usually carried, but it clearly held threat.

Yet the girl, being stubborn and prideful as she had always been, was not daunted. "You're too cocky, puppy. Don't just assume angry words and a death threat will always work. And tell me your name so I don't have to keep calling you puppy, brother of Inu Yash—"

She jumped back as a sword swiped at her, glaring up at its weilder. "Now, that wasn't nice."

The man kept his calm, uninterested face, but he showed the slightest hint of annoyance. "Do not relate me to that hanyou. He is no brother of mine." Turning his back to her, he continued walking. "My name, raven, is Sesshomaru. Remember it."

Too angry to do anything but stare after him, she gritted her teeth. "You are different than InuYasha. But you still get on my friggin' nerves," she mumbled.

Sesshomaru paused a moment, and she was about to ask why when a purified arrow ripped through the trees, shattering the wood next to the girl's head.

Sorry it's short. I wanted to see if anyone liked it. I will write the next chapter after I receive 3 reviews. ((The next chapters will be bigger. I promise!))
