AN/ This is a little something that I came up with after watching the last episode of Sue Thomas FBEye earlier today. This is the way I would have liked to have happened in the end of the show. Or at least something like that.

"Did you change your mind again?" Miles asked.

"Change your mind?" Jack looked at Sue confused. Miles realized that his colleague didn't know about the change of plans and entered the bullpen.

Sue smiled at Jack's confused expression and looked into the bullpen. Jack then saw the banner that said "Goodbye/Welcome Back Sue". His heart started racing. He thought he was about the have a second heart attack and prayed it didn't happen. At least not now.

"Does this mean what I think it means?" Jack asked unsure what to think.

"Probably not." Sue answered with a smile. "I'm still getting promoted to chief analyst. Except I won't be stationed in New York but in DC. I'll have to answer to the new boss in New York though."

"So, you are staying?" Jack did not remember "You are not moving away?"

"No. I'm not." Sue smiled at the relief that she could read on Jack's face. She remembered again that he was one of the main reasons that lead to her staying. "The upside is that we will see each other often since I will be working in the same building."

"Is there a downside?" Jack asked fearing a tremendous catch in the deal.

"The downside is that we might not be working together on daily basis since I'll have to work with other teams as well. I will not be in the same chain of command as you guys."

"You know another upside?" Jack said while he approached her with a smile. The realization that he could hardly imagine a life without Sue had struck him the previous night and now, he was not going to let her go without telling her how he really felt.

"What?" Sue asked while having an idea about the answer. She could almost feel Jack's breath on her cheek. Her heart was racing.

"Nobody can stop me from doing this." He took the leap and kissed her. The kiss was gentile but full of emotions. It started shy but intensified gradually. Eventually they both needed air. They looked at each other's eyes shared a quick kiss and looked at their friends who were looking at them with eyes wide open.

Levi barked twice and stood on his back palms.

"For once I agree with our canine friend." Everyone heard Miles say. "It was about time." Everyone smiled. "Donut anyone?"

They all laughed while the newly formed couple couldn't help but smile.
