Why? Why did you die? You should have just let me die instead. I would have gone to Star Clan as a brave and noble apprentice. I would have even become a Warrior in Star Clan. Why did you have to die when I was in love with you?

I miss you. You were my little sister. I should have died and gone to Star Clan. You were supposed to fulfill Star Clan's prophecy. Not the Tribe's prophecy. So then why?

I never got a chance to finish this journey with you. I was wanting to finish it with all of my friends. But you died on our journey back home. We are all devastated. Especially Stormfur and Crowpaw. And why shouldn't we be? Our best friend has just died.

I never got to thank you for caring for Tanypelt, or when you got Squirrelpaw out from under that twoleg fence. There are a lot of things that I never got to thank you for. Did you really have to go? Graystripe is not going to like this.

Why her? Out of all the River Clan cats, why did Star Clan have to choose her? She looked so much like her mother. The only memory I have left of Silverstream is … gone.

How could this happen? My former apprentice is now dead. And she was so young. Right after her and her brother had earned their Warrior names. I can only imagine how Graystripe feels. Silverstream was my best friend. We were practically sisters in ever way. But now she is in a different place with her mother and Crookedstar, her grandfather.

One of my new best friends is dead. But I am glad that the others are safe. But now I am not even sure where she is. Is she with Star Clan? Or is she with the Tribe of Endless Hunting that Brambleclaw and Squirrelpaw have mentioned to the Clan? Feathertail, where are you at?

Two silver tabbies she cats looked down at a pool. Instead of their faces, there were other cats. One of the silver tabbies's smiled. The silver tabby was Feathertail. And next to her was Silverstream. Silverstream got up and padded toward the trees. Feathertail followed her mother into the darkness, taking one last glance at the pool. Yes. Mistyfoot was right. She was in a better place now.
