1: I will - The Beatles
"Oof!"
Len was pushed backwards as he ran head-on to someone. He fell on his butt, and skidded along the school hallway. He was guessing the other human being felt the same pain, because a high pitched voice shouted a various "profanities" that the other human being made up.
"Hey! Watch where you're going, will 'ya?" The same voice asked, in an irritated tone. Len looked up.
He knew that the other human being was a girl. But, he certainly didn't expect a really, really, pretty, golden haired girl to have stood before him. "O-oh, um," was all Len could muster.
The girl, hands on her hips, huffed and picked up her stuff (A Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince book, and a purple pencil case. Even at age 10, Len had good memory). She gave him an annoyed glance, and then walked away.
Len panicked. He wanted to talk to her, but- but she was a girl! Girls had cooties! But, they don't all have cooties, don't they? I'm pretty sure she doesn't, because she looked really pretty and Len concluded that pretty girls don't have cooties because a lot of boys kiss pretty girls - ON THE LIPS! - without puking or anything, just like in TV.
Ending his train of thoughts, Len stood up (and ignored the pain in the butt he felt because of the collision) and ran as fast as he can. It wasn't long before he caught up with her.
The girl noticed this and came into an abrupt stop. He heard an exasperated sigh and she looked over to him, "Whaddya want?"
"I'm sorry, um, for a while ago. I- I didn't mean to bump into you. I guess I didn't re- really notice you," He replied, nervously.
"Just because I'm short, doesn't mean I'm unnoticeable!"
"I mean- uh, um, it's n- not like th- that!"
"You're just blind! Yeah, that's it,"
"I, um, actually think your shortness is cute," Len cut her off.
She was taken aback. "Y- you do?"
The girl was turning into more of a tomato as seconds passed, and Len grinned. "Yeah, I think you're really, really pretty, too."
Her face softened and she grinned, "I think you're pretty, too." It wasn't the compliment Len was expecting in return, but he blushed like crazy, nonetheless.
"Oh!" Len slid his hands into his pocket, and looked for the lollipop he got just a while ago in class. It was still there.
"Um, I'm sorry again," He said, more confidently this time, and offered the lollipop.
She laughed, the pink tint on her cheeks still there, and snatched the candy from his hand. "Thank you, um...?" She trailed on.
"Len. I'm Len," Len stretched out his hand. (He secretly hoped he would be able to hold her hand, even though it was only a handshake.)
"Hi, Len. I'm Rin," She giggled at his formality, and instead, high-fived his out-stretched hand.
A/N: Wow. I'm starting another thing, but I haven't even written down a Chapter 2 for one of my self-proclaimed-in-progress stories (that I probably won't continue until a unique, and new kind of thing just dawns upon me. I'm sorry). For this 'series' or whatever you call it, though, I would be listing songs that inspired me to write each chapter, although, the song and the chapter wouldn't "connect" in sometimes. (My brain works in mysterious ways.)
I will is one of my favorite The Beatles song. (Yay!)
