Okay, this is my first FMA fic, and it's EdxRiza! Because it's just cute and there isn't enough of it. After intense searching I found about four fics for this couple. So, yeah. I don't care if you don't like it. Suck it up.
500 words exactly, just a random drabble that occured to me. Enjoy!

"Where's taisa?"
Hawkeye winced slightly as the door was violently flung open. She glanced over her shoulder to the young man in the doorway, though she already knew who it was. She would have recognized that whiny, commanding voice anywhere. Rolling her eyes, Riza turned back to the stack of papers she was organizing. "Where do you think? Shirking his paperwork again, obviously. I suppose a 'hello' would be too much to ask, Full Metal?"
Edward had the courtesy to look embarrassed, at least, as he stepped into the room and slammed the door shut behind him. Riza noticed that the door to the office had taken a lot of abuse in the past three years. Ever since Edward Elric had become a state alchemist, it seemed that not a day went by that it wasn't being slammed, kicked, shot at, burned or otherwise assaulted. Poor thing.
"Hello, Lieutenant Hawkeye. Do you know where taisa went? I need to give him my report…" Ed's face indicated that he would have preferred to do anything but that. Riza smirked slightly. She had to hand it to Edward; the office had certainly gotten…livelier since he came along. "In fact…" Ed continued, glancing around the room, "where is everybody?"
"It seems," Riza said grimly, "that before my arrival this morning, Colonel Mustang successfully coerced all my co-workers into taking the day off." Ed snickered at this.
"Sounds like taisa, alright. Well, I guess I lucked out this time. I'm certainly not complaining about getting out of my report for another day. See you later, Hawkeye." He saluted, grinning, and started heading for the door. He paused before he got there, looking back at her.
"You should take a day off too, Lieutenant." His voice softened. "You work too hard." Riza was pleasantly surprised to see concern in his golden eyes.
"I'll consider it," she said, smiling. "…thank you, Full Metal." Ed nodded and turned back toward the door. "…Full Metal?"
He looked up in confusion as Riza walked over to him. Placing a hand on his shoulder, she leaned down so their foreheads were almost touching, pretending not to notice the bright pink flush that was spreading across the boy's cheeks. "I knew it," she said happily, straightening up. "You've gotten taller. I don't need to lean over so far anymore. Keep up the good work, Full Metal."
Ed nodded slowly, still blushing, and turned to the door, stepping outside and closing it behind him quietly. Riza smiled to herself as she contemplated the stack of papers on her desk, then looked out the large window to the courtyard. "Maybe I will take the day off…" she mused quietly, watching the elder Elric brother make his way outside. He glanced up to the window, and even from this distance, Riza could make out the pink tinge on his cheek as he waved to her. She waved back, mouthing words she knew he probably wouldn't be able to make out.
"See you later, Ed."

Yay! It only took me about fifteen minutes and I LOVE it! I have to do pointless drabbles more often.
