Jay threw aside his rag and wiped his brow has he stood to acknowledge his finished work. One of his clients rammed his bumper into a street lamp and made some serious dentage in the back. It took Jay almost an entire week to repair the damages, but it was done, just in time for the holiday. Now all he had to do was phone him up and deliver the good news, then he was home free.

After changing out of his suit and into his regular jeans and t-shirt, Jay put on his jacket and headed out the garage. To his surprise, he found Manny Santos waiting for him by his car.

"Oh no. More family drama? Geez move out already." He joked.

"No family drama, I just came to see how you were doing. Got your money." Manny dug in her pocket, but Jay put up a hand.

"You don't have to do that. I had fun, your parents were cool and not to mention I got free food," he said.

"Good, cause I didn't have any money in here anyway." Manny smirked.

"Then why are you here, it's not to stare into my breath-taking eyes is it?"

"No, I came to ask you something." Manny said.

"Ask away," Jay leaned against his orange civic.

"What are you doing tomorrow?" she asked.

"You mean for thanksgiving?" Manny nodded. "I'll probably crack open a bottle of beer, catch a kid's special on the box, eat a cold can of beans. Why?"

"Me and my parents are going to Em's, and I wanted to know if you'd like to come with."

"As your date?" Jay bit his lower lip.

"Not a date, just the usually. Eat, chat, fight, eat." Manny smiled.

"Mmm, sounds like thanksgiving with the fam, excepts there's more fighting than eating and chatting."

"What? You're parents don't get along?"

"They'd have to be seriously stoned or drunk to like each other." Jay pulled out his keys and used the remote to unlock the doors.

"So does that mean you'll come?"

"On two bases, I don't cook anything for tomorrow and I won't sing karaoke with Mr. Simpson." Jay said, flicking his index finger at Manny.

"Cool, but you'll have to sing "Waste My Time" with me. See you tomorrow!" Manny walked off.

"Hey! Hey!" he called after her. Jay opened his door and climbed in, he drove off a few seconds after starting the car. He pulled up next to Manny.

"I'm not singing." He said.

"Bye Jay, see you tomorrow."

"Seriously, I'm not."

The End

Happy Thanksgiving!
