"What do you think, Winchester?" Gibbs was staring at Sam, who was kneeling next to their victim and was across from Ducky. Sam looked up at his surnane and responded.
"Killed by having his throat slit. Bruises on the neck, arms, and chest. Cuts all over their body, coild be from a simple knife or sharp glass." As he talkes he looked past his boss to his brother, who inclined his head in approval and spoke once Sam was finished. His eyes flitted from to the body back to Sam again.
"Could be a wraith. But he was found near his car, so it could be a-"
"Woman in white. Or a werewolf. It was a-
"Full moon last night. We'll need the silver bullets. Do we have any?"
"I think so, but we haven't used them in a while so maybe not. Although, we should check out the vic's background. Could be-"
"Unfaithful. Oh wait, it's a woman in white, Sammy. 'Wolves don't leave-"
"Bruises. Yeah. Salt and iron then. Could we-"
"No we're not using my baby. Last time we did it got totaled when that bitch threw Dad through a window."
"Oh shut up. But how do we lure it out? It's not like we have people having affairs lining up to be bait for a supernatural creature."
"I know, I know. How did dad do it anyway? Ever since…"
"Yeah. I think he was using you."
"…Yeah. That makes sense. Sam, that thing with Cassie-" Dean started, sounding sincerely apologetic, but the other cut him off, Saying tensely,
"Doesn't matter." Dean just looked at his shoes, not meeting his brother's eyes.
"We'll have to look back into pther cases and see-"
"What road. Yeah. FBI and local police should have records of it. Think you can-"
"Hack into online police records? Do you doubt me so?" Sam gave a coy smile and Dean rolled his eyes.
An angry throat-clearing snapped them back to the present. Both of them whipped their heads to the person, tensing minutely. They relaxed and Sam letting out a small sigh of relief and Dean gave a breathless chuckle.
"Forgot for a second there." Sam gave him a lopsided grin.
"Yeah. Easy to think we're just on a solo."
