a/n: SORRY. I'M SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN HOWVER MANY MONTHS I HAVEN'T UPDATED I'M SO SORRY. I'M HORRIBLE.
on another note, I have a bunch of drabble that have been sitting in my notebook, and I may as well upload em here, so here I am :)
note: this drabble is, yes, a role reversal. Katniss loves Peety boy and sadly, he doesn't love her back. :( so this drabble is set on the 74th Victory Tour, k?
the drabble drawer:
01. "fantasy"
Sometimes, I'll catch him staring at me, with that look he uses when the cameras are present. He'll spare a glance at me, and then flit his eyes away quickly, as if even looking at me is forbidden. He does it even we both know that no-one is watching, when no cameras are shoved in our faces, asking us for a kiss.
Sometimes, I let myself pretend that it real, that his adoring gazes are true and professions of love are genuine. Only sometimes, do I let myself indulge in such fantasies, because returning to the real world only reminds of how painfully great of an actor he is. He's amazing, actually. Even Haymitch, who would be able to spot a tremble in your voice even before you've said our lie was convinced several times.
"I swear, it's like the kid actually loves you." he grumbled once. At the time, his comment stung, so I'd slapped him straight across his face, then stomped back to my room. I had been entirely unaware that Peeta had heard the entire exchange until after we visited District Four. He apologized profusely, making up excuses like 'I'll learn to love you' or 'maybe I already, I just haven't realized'. I simply waved him off and tell him it was okay, even though I was sure he could see through my lie.
After all, I could never be as good of an actor as him.
