The sun was just starting to set below the horizon, and he decided that this was a great time. Maka always starts reading in the evening, after all. Soul grabbed his bag off the counter and, careful to not step on Blair, started the short walk. Several minutes later, he reached his destination. He sat beside her for a little while, just enjoying being with her. Realizing he didn't have long before the sun set, Soul began to speak.
"This was really good, you know. I'm not much of a reader, but I thought I would give it a shot. Dammit, Maka, why do you have to pick the longest books? I don't want to read all of it but I don't want to put it down, either." He paused, but, naturally, there was no reply. So he continued, "I found where you left off. You were right at the part with Harry figuring out how to open the Snitch. Ron and Hermione bickered quite a bit a little after that. Harry unknowingly alerted some Death Eaters of their location, cause he said Voldemort's name, but they were good liars and Lady Luck came along. ...it's a good thing you weren't there, huh? You're an awful liar." He paused again, but the remark seemed to take no effect on her. "It didn't last long, though. Greyback was there and pieced together that it was Harry. The Death Eaters took the three to Malfoy Manor, where even more Death Eaters were, and they were imprisoned and interrogated. Well, Hermione was. Bellatrix was the one questioning, and she used measures that upset Ron. Heh, Dobby took on quite a role after that. He was one you really liked, right? They ended up at Bill and Fleur's house. ...I think I'm gonna stop there. The rest is where it starts getting really good. You need to finish it. I was able to, so you definitely can. Here, I'll leave it with you, so you can read it whenever you want. I need to go now, but make sure you tell me what you think." Soul grinned and set the book beside him. "Cool guys don't spoil the ending. I love you, Maka."
And with that, he got up and began walking away. Before he did, though, Soul was sure to leave the book and flowers beside the headstone.
