Wow! Very first homestuck story. Hope I did the characters justice!

Terezi walked into the room where all the computers were. It was dreadfully late – or perhaps early, depending on who you're asking – but she had a feeling that at least one person was there. He's always had a nasty habit of staying up just a bit too late. She poked her head in, trying to be quite; she didn't want to surprise him. She walked to his chair, not needing her cane to aid her. Many times have she walked to his chair to talk to him.

She stopped right beside him and waited for him to say something. Usually after a while of standing next to him, he'll get irritated enough to say something. However, she was surprised on how long it was taking him to even say anything. Realizing the lack of sound coming from his keyboard, she light touched his shoulder. He didn't even budge. Terezi realizes that he was sleeping. She smiled softly; he never sleeps the amount he should have and needs.

As she stands next to him, her hand on his shoulder, an overwhelming grief hit her. Oh, how she wishes she can just get away from Gamzee, how she wishes that she could just end this relationship. But she can't, no matter how many times she's tried. She so badly wanted to tell Karkat, but she was afraid of his response. Would he be disappointed? She would be shocked if he wasn't; she was already disappointed in her.

Terezi had half of a mind just to confess the whole problem to him at that moment, just let everything spill. She even opened her mouth and took a deep breath. But then her confidence left her in a sigh. Instead, she barely manages to say, "I'm sorry." Swallowing back her tears, because she never cries in front of people, she turn away and left.

Karkat's eyes slid open and he watched her leave with a knowing look.
