Disclaimer: I don't own SG1. If I did I'd have money not be broke.

Sam smiled as she watched the children on P4X7956 play. The people here were peaceful and wanted to negotiate a treaty with Earth. Daniel was having a field day with the local historian. They had been chattering away non-stop since SG1 had arrived. Teal'c was showing some of the city's soldiers how to use the Staff weapons they had uncovered.

A small girl ran up to Sam and gave her a flower. "Thank you." Sam called as the girl skipped away. Sniffing the flower, her smile faded away. She missed Jack, General O'Neill. She missed having him on missions with them. She missed the old SG1, before their promotions. She missed him showing up in the middle of her watch and staying and talking for the rest of her watch. She missed sitting around a campfire in the early morning drinking coffee. She missed O'Neill's horrible sayings as they exited the Gate. Most of all she missed Jack slipping his arm under her shirt and having his hand laying on her stomach as she slept. She knew that his promotion was a good thing, but she missed being able to complain on alien planets with him.

Jack sat at his desk at the SGC staring at his computer. He hated that SG1 was on a mission with out him. He was happy that the inhabitants of P4X7956 wanted a treaty with Earth. He knew Daniel was having a field day and Sam would probable have to drag him home by his ear to get him off the planet. Jack sighed. He missed Sam. He missed going on missions with them. He missed showing up in the middle of Sam's watch and staying and talking for the rest of her watch. He missed sitting around a campfire in the early morning drinking coffee. He missed her rolling her eyes at his horrible sayings as they exited the Gate. Most of all he missed slipping his arm under her shirt and resting his hand on her stomach as she slept. He knew what her promotion meant to her, but he missed being able to complain on alien planets with her.
