"Are you ready?" asked Harry "I know you're nervous." Albus replied "I'm fine, dad," even though he was quite nervous. They were standing on platform 9 ¾ waiting to get on the Hogwarts Express. Harry was speaking to his son Albus, who was beginning his first years at Hogwarts. Albus was nervous enough to soar through the roof. As they went back to Harry's wife, Ginny Weasley, Albus told his family he was nervous and was going to miss their family estate. They lived in the Potter Estate, that was built around the same time as Hogwarts.
Albus and his older brother James got on the train, while their sister Lilly waved, wishing and hoping dearly that she could go too. Once on the train, James and Albus went to find their Weasley cousins to talk about quidditch. It was a long ride, and they had time to eat lots of sweets. They dug into Pumpkin Pasties as they chatted about the Chudley Cannons' chances at this year's Quidditch league. They wondered what house Albus would be in, but they were almost sure he would become a Gryffindor.
Then, the light outside began to dim as the countryside turned more wild and less neat. The lamps turned on just after five. A prefect strolled into their compartment to check that everything was okay. "Hello, my name is Ryan Jerkins and I am a Hufflepuff Prefect. Is everything alright in this compartment?" "Yes," they answered together. The Prefect slid the door closed and went back into the corridor to check on the next compartment. They got changed into their school robes as they caught sight of Hogwarts. Albus was Jittery, because he would soon be sorted.
This is my first story. More later!
