A/N: Kurt doesn't know what to get Blaine for Christmas. Who knew it would be so simple?
Kurt walked into the living room of his and Blaine's apartment, carrying two mugs of peppermint hot chocolate. It was one of their new traditions, drinking that in front of the fireplace.
"Here you go babe." Kurt smiled and handed the mug to his husband.
"Why thank you babe." Blaine teased as he smiled, taking a sip from the candy cane striped mug. Kurt sat in front of Blaine smiling.
"Blaine?," Blaine just hummed for an response, "What do you want for Christmas?" Blaine looked up at Kurt, a hot chocolate mustache forming on his upper lip. Making taking Blaine seriously a little less possible.
"Kurt, it's not about gifts or presents. Christmas is about spending time with the people you love and deeply care about." Blaine said then took another drink of his hot coco.
"Thank you, Captain Obvious." Kurt joked, and took a drink as well.
"Kurt, I'm being serious. I'm sick of people, teenagers especially, making Christmas just this time to receive. When there are people less fortunate then them." Blaine preached.
"Oh Blaine, I'm so sorry." Kurt apologized, eyes now watery.
"No, it's fine. I just get a little...preachy, around this time of year. What can I say?, I get it from my mother." Blaine joked and took another sip.
"Yeah, but I was like that once. When I was little, I was like Eloise and had the longest Christmas list on the block. My dad took me to a homeless shelter that Christmas instead of buying me a present. We feed as many people we could, but we knew it wasn't enough."
Blaine nodded, "Weren't we all like that?, I know I was at one time or another."
Kurt laughed, "You're being hypocritical." Blaine sighed smiling. He loved his husband dearly.
It was Christmas Day, and Kurt still didn't have a Christmas present for Blaine. Blaine never told him what he wanted. He felt sad, he wanted to make his love to feel special. He felt terrible.
Blaine jumped on Kurt that morning like an excited kid.
"Wake up sweetie...IT'S CHRISTMAS!" Kurt groaned, "Five more minutes..." Blaine laughed as Kurt hit the alarm clock so hard it fell off the nightstand.
"Sweetie?" Blaine whispered as he placed the clock back on the nightstand. He felt Kurt's forehead.
"Hm?" Kurt opened his eyes, "Wait is it Christmas?" Blaine nodded vigorously, while grinning like a fool.
Kurt smiled, hiding his fear very well.
Him and Blaine went to the living room and knelled next to the towering Christmas tree. There was only around five gifts under the tree. From Blaine to Kurt, From Burt & Carole to Kurt, From Burt & Carole to Blaine, From Rachel & Jesse to Kurt, and From Rachel & Jesse to Blaine.
"OPEN MINE FIRST!" Blaine said excitedly. Kurt laughed and opened Blaine's present, only to tear up when he did.
It was a personal coffee mug, with a printed picture on the front of him and Kurt's first Christmas together as a couple.
"Look on the back hun," Blaine suggested. Kurt turned the mug to see the back and more tears welled up in his eyes.
These words were printed:
You are perfect to me...
"Blaine, it's perfect," He looked at Blaine, "Thank You." Kurt smiled through his tears and kissed Blaine.
"Blaine?," It was time to face his guilt, "I didn't get you anything. I feel terrible, you're my husband I always wanna make you feel special and this one day where we're supposed to appreciate life and spend time with our families, I screw it up. I'm so-" Blaine stopped him by kissing him.
"Kurt, All I Want for Christmas is You."
