a/n: i was in an odd mood today... dont even ask. this is my random parody of "Two Roads Diverge In A Yellow Wood" --Robert Frost. it sounded good in my head...
written from Grissom's POV.
Two roads diverged in the Vegas desert,
And sorry I could not travel the two.
Which one would bring me comfort?
Which one would bring me hurt?
I flirted with each path, looking for a clue.
Then I took the other, maybe just as well;
Because I've been traveling for fifty years…
But you can never really tell.
And although many a time I have fell,
This path was the one I took, despite my childish fears.
And both that morning 'tween mountains lay;
In sand no step had trodden flat,
Oh, I left the other for yet another day.
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I came upon a thing under starry skies;
A thing of more beauty than I can express.
One look in those deep, dark eyes,
I knew that in choosing, I had been wise.
I fell in love with her, and that I must confess.
So, I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a Vegas desert, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
