After her first day on her Pokemon journey, Touko had settled on a place to kip for the night.
After returning with wood for a fire, Touko turned and faced the setting sun. She simply stared at the expanse of dimming sky before her as a silent breeze blew past her. She relished in the cool evening breeze, letting the fact she had finally gotten away from her mother wash over her.
Touko loved her mother, but she was just so darn overprotective of her. Even if it took her until she was fourteen, she was glad that she was finally on her own.
The Snivy she had chosen as her starter hopped into her arms and stared in the direction she was staring.
Touko held Snivy close, like a pet owner close to their cat, and they watched until the sun disappeared below the horizon.
